After Shika and I seated ourselves, he slowly looked throughout the menu while I looked out the window, the windows were smoothly polished and cleaned, not a scratch or handprint to be seen. 'I hope this restarunt doesnt cost too much money...' I thought to myself, tempted to look inside my green frog wallet on the minute. But someone's voice, a feminine voice greeted me and stopped my temptation.

"Hello, what would a lovely couple like you be wanting to eat on this fine night?" Another small waiter asked, only this girl had brown hair and brown eyes, a small pen and notepad ready in hand. "Oh no, were not a-"

"I'd like a medium bowl of beef curry please, and a tall glass of ice water," Shikamaru cut in, a dull bored looking expression plastered on his face. Now the waitress AND his MOTHER already thought we were together. I mentally stabbed myself at the thought. "Alrighty sir, and for the fine lady." 'Finally!! I'm starving!' "I'd like a... Um do you have any ramen? I heard you dont but I'm just checking..."

'Man if they do I'm making Shika pay...'

"Indeed we do! We have all kinds. Pork, beef, chicken, duck, and vegan." The young waitress said proudly with one of those nerdy thumbs up that I oh-so love. "Pork please!" I say with a toothy smile, "okay, and your drink little missy?" The brunette asked, taking down orders with the little black pen. "Green tea, extra sugar," Shika cut in before I could speak. "You remembered!" I cried out dramatically, making a few eyes go our way. I always get green tea, but it had to have extra sugar, it's my favorite other then Hinata's homemade peppermint tea- but that's a whole another story for later. "Okay, your food should be ready in fifteen minutes!"

"Okay! Thanks again!"

"Arigato." Shikamaru said with a nod. "I still can't believe he set us up. Sly fox," I whispered, squinting my eyes. "Yeah, let's just eat as friends to not make anything awkward."

'Yeah totally! Works for m-' my thoughts were once again broken apart by his words. "Its not like you have a crush on me anymore so this wont be akward," he shrugged.

Anymore... Ha...haha

Wait..

Anymore?...

ANYMORE?? HOW THE HELL DID HE KNOW!?

He looked at me as if he could read my mind and simply stated, "Chojj told me."

"He did! That was secret! That son of a -" I was about to go off when someone cut me midsentence. People really do love interrupting me don't they? "Heyyy, I didn't know you two were here, where's Choji?" A voice came from behind me. I turned around and a boy with brown hair and red marks- paint?- on his face, his brown hair spiked up as usual. "Hey Kiba," We both greeted awkwardly. "Chojis not here, just us," I explained flatly. "Wait- so... OOHHHH sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, I'll leave!"

"N-NO ITS NOT LIKE THAT YOU- OH MY KAMI NO! EW!" I screamed out in pure anger. Kiba looked at me, interested in what I had to say, "So what is it?" He questioned with pondering eyes. "Going out as friends! As if I would ever think romantically about this guy!" I hollered, pointing to Shikamaru. "Didn't you like him in like fifth grade or something?"

"Let me guess, Choji told you!?" I yelled bitterly, my face turning red in anger mixed with loads of embarrassment, "Nope,"  Was his only response. "Then how??" He shook his head and chuckled as if he just heard the funniest joke in the whole damn world, "It didn't take a genius to figure it out, Naruko."

"How??"

"Anyways," Shikamru cut in, fully aware but ignoring my question, "I assure you it's not a date, actually would you care to join?" Shika invited. "Eh..." Kiba hesitated, "would but I did come here with a few friends already."

"Who'd you all come with?" I looked around, finally calming down, my tainted red face returning to normal. "Well let me see..uh.. Shino, Hinata, Neji, Lee, Tenten, hm let me think, oh yeah! And Sasuke."

'I wonder who Tenten, Lee and Temari are... Maybe they're new to the leaf?

And who's that Neji character? Jeez I really needed to meet more people... It seems like Shika knows them, why not me?...'
"Neji is Hinata's cousin, Lee and Tenten are apart of his three man squad for their training," Kiba explained, scratching his neck. "And Sasuke?" We both asked in amusement."

"Dont ask. Long story short, it was the only way he could get away from sakura and the others." Pfftt. "Oohhhh. That makes sense." I giggled out, "let's go sit with them!"

"But-" Shika started. "Come on, pleaseee!" I begged, "Fine." I cheered from the top of my lungs, the whole restaurant looking our way. I better be quiet before we get kicked out... "Okay, I'll tell the manager you guys are switching seats."

"Okie!" I sang out. "Thanks Kiba!" Me and Shika said, walking over to the familiar  faces from class. Ugh Sasuke. I hope the rest of them weren't as mean as duckbutt... I mean Kiba and Hinata hang out with them so it should be fine... Right?
