I walked in the room in silence, the gang was doing what they usually did.

Pony was reading, Soda and Steve were playing poker, two- bit was watching Mickey Mouse, Darry was reading the newspaper and dally, well just talking to Soda and Steve.

"Hey, how's it going Johnnycakes?" Two-Bit asked. "Not bad, how're you?" I replied, "Swell"

I wasn't really much for conversation, I had nothing to say really.

"Hey Johnny wanna take a walk to the park?" Ponyboy Asked. "Yeah, sure" I said

we left right then, we walked in silence.

"What if I told you my cousin Carolina is coming into town to stay with me for a while" pony said out of no where. "I would say wow. wow" we laughed

PonyBoys cousin, Carolina.. I remember her from when we were little, she used to visit Ponyboy all the time. She used to have glasses and braces and was super short..

"Yeah, she'll be here tomorrow" Ponyboy said bluntly

"I dig" I said. Pony and I don't really do stuff besides go to the drive in, the lot or here.

The park was a peaceful place, it's just sad when socs come on our side of town and jump us greasers.

"Yeah, so how was ur day Johnny" pony said randomly , "Not bad, Not good you know" i said "how was yours?"

"Good, Darry told me to show Carolina around, you should come with since I have no clue what she's like" Ponyboy said. I nodded

It's not that I don't want to meet her it's just I'm shy around other people, let alone girls.

"Should we head home now?" I asked pony, he nodded so we got up and left

We finally got back to his house at nine o'clock

The gang was here, doing the usual..

Ruckus.

we all decided to call it a night, So I went to the lot. It's where I usually sleep since my parents always argue all the time and abuse me.

I started a mini fire and covered up in newspapers. The lot wasn't so bad, the stars are out.  I had a lot on my mind, Carolina. What is when we're hanging out I say something wrong, or what if we're hoods to her. Who knows what she's like.. rich? pretty?preppy?

It just blew my mind.

I woke up and headed to my house while my parents were at work. I showered quickly. Since it was summer it gets pretty hot so I just decided on a tshirt and jeans, and my best up converse.

I ate toast fast and checked the clock, noon.

I walked to the Curtis house since I should be there by now.

I walked in since they always keep the door open.

"Oh hey Johnnycakes!" Darry said while making sandwiches, "hey dar" I said. "Ponyboy should be out of the shower soon. Are you going with him to see Carolina?" Darry had asked

"Yeah, might as well" I smiled, I never really do but it made Darry smile so my smile got even bigger. We both started laughing

"Would you like a sandwich Johnny" Darry questioned. "Sure"

Ponyboy finally came out, "oh hey Johnny, you ready?" he said "yeah" we started walking

The train station wasn't too long of a walk.
