An older man stands outside of a bedroom. They've been outside the bedroom several times, knocking on the door. "Emmy Egbert it's time to get ready for the party, you need to get up."
Little did the man know, that the girl inside of the room was already awake, sitting on his bed with her knees curled to her chest, she wasn't dressed.

Emmy Egbert was the daughter of the well known John Egbert, who, never did tell her who her mother was, but even then she figured it didn't matter because she wasn't in the picture anyways. She let out a deep sigh and stood up out of the bed, dragging her feet to the mirror on the other side of her room, above a chest that was covered in golden stars and crescent moons, she looked over her body this felt wrong.

She looked over the body in the mirror- gross she thought to herself, something felt wrong about the way her body was, though she was very curvy, a large chest that any other girl would envy, and curvy hips that would appear amazing in any dress, but it felt wrong, it felt like it wasn't her, she shook the thought away per normal and got dressed.

She knew today was supposed to be special, as it was her best friend Oria's birthday today and she was aware that all of their friends were going to be at her house for the party. Yet this brought her no joy, because public events weren't really her thing, too judgemental. She shuffled through her closet in which was full of dresses and girly clothing, she groaned and found a blue shirt among the others and slipped it on, along with some blue jeans and grabbed her square framed glasses, coming down the stairs.

John looked at her and sighed, adjusting his jet black hair along with his suit and tie in which many pictures of a father once before John had worn as well, and he walked out the door to his plain white, boxy looking car. Emmy fixed her long, curly brown hair and sighed, she was never sure how she got brown hair but she was sure it was a gene from her father, knowing that darker hair ran in his family, she shrugged, grabbing her phone and walking out the door with her father and getting into the back seat of the car as he got into the drivers seat and turned the engine on.

Emmy decided that this would be a great time to message Oria, pulling her phone out of her pocket and opening an app, similar to the one her father had used long ago, called "Chumblr".

  [TB]: Oria!
  [VictorianShadows[VS] has accepted your invite!]
  [VS]:Em!
[VS]:How'd your Dad take the news?
Emmy cringed a bit at the mention, she hadn't told her father what she was supposed to, Oria would be mad.
  [TB]:Ah! He...took it well.
  [VS]:You didn't tell him
  [VS]:Did you?
  [TB]:...
  [TB]:Not one bit ':)
[VS]:That's alright, Em. Take your time.
[VS]:But know I still support you!
Emmy sighed in relief, that wasn't as bad of a reaction as she had thought it would be, suddenly her phone buzzed again.
-ˏˋ You've Recieved A New Message ˊˎ-
-ˏˋ You've Recieved A Chat Invite From AU ˊˎ-

Emmy opened her phone up to see Oria's message, to which she chuckled under her breath at, causing John to gaze in the mirror at her in the back seat, wondering what was so funny.

[VS]:Hurry up and get here, the striders are acting like asses.

[VS]:Don't leave me alone with these idiots.

Emmy left her dear friend on read to go check on the other message she had received from none other than one of the Striders. Emmys crush: Zaid Strider, the youngest of the two Strider brothers.

    [AnimeUltimate[AU] has invited TumblingBlues[TB] to chat! ]
[AU]: Tell that old man to drive faster!
[AU]: I'm getting bored of tormenting Oria.
  [TumblingBlues[TB] has accepted your invite!]
  [TB]: Shut Up Strider.
  [AU]: Make me.
  [TB]: >=(

Emmy sat her phone down, huffing a bit and looking back out of the car window, "Is aunt Harley coming to the event" she asked her father, not looking at him.
"Not today, she doesn't have the time."
"She never has the time..." Emmy mumbled, her Aunt Harley was her favorite person growing up, as she often gave her cool science toys and had a son whom grew up with Emmy named Leon Harley. They treated each other as siblings and knew each other as such.
"But I think she said Leon was coming to the party." The girl suddenly perked up, adjusting her glasses and turning to her father.
  "Is he?"
"I guess you'll just have to find out for yourself." He grinned, motioning out the window to the large, white and purple accented home, it put her own little townhouse to shame, on the front lawn there was a girl in a pink and black dress with short, curly, pink-blonde hair. Emmy quickly rolled her window down, as quickly as you could with a window crank anyways...
"Oria!!" Emmy called out, shoving her torso out of the window and waving at her.
"Emi-" she stopped noticing the man driving, "Emmy!!!" She rushed over as John parked the car, Emmy pulling herself out of the window completely and landing on her side.
"Use the door!!" John barked, sighing just a small bit and getting out to grab the gifts, leaving the two girls to interact. Once Emmy picked herself up, the two embraced as though they hadn't seen in thousands of years.
"I suppose I don't get a hug?" A voice calmly asked from behind Oria.
"Momma lalonde!" Emmy smiled, quickly hugging the tall, pale blonde, almost white haired woman. It was Oria's adopted mother, Rose Lalonde.
Had she been standing there the whole time? She hadn't seen Emmy fall had she? Emmy blushed at the thought but quickly shook it off, hearing Roses voice, inviting her and her father inside.

And with that invitation, began the end of their world...
