•Hospital•
I sat there crying as I was in the waiting room and I hear my name being called "mommy!" Isla ran over to me and I quickly got up and hugged her crying, I kiss her cheek as Mrs. Simone comes with amara as her face was sadden. I walk up to her as she hugs me, I hug back and I look at amara whose still sleeping I kiss her forehead "is he alright?" She asked "i-i don't know they're doing s-surgery," I broke down as she hugged me. "Where's baba?" Isla said looking around for him. I pick her up and I sit down with her on my lap.

I look at her as she looks at me with teary eyes, "um baba, I-is in surgery baby, h-he got shot," I said she started "is he dead?" I shook my head "no no no baby, he's in surgery," I said she cried as I hold her. T'challa and shuri come in as they look at me with a sad and hurt eyes. "Where is he?" Shuri asked "doing surgery," I cried t'challa sat next to me as I puts an arm around my shoulder for comfort.

~2 hours later~
It's been two hours and I grew more worried by the minute as isla was sleeping on shuri and I was pacing around having a panic attack, "what is taking so long?" I asked as I pace soon struggling to breath as t'challa grabs me and hugs me trying to calm me down "I don't know but cal down ok, he's fighter," he says I nodded as I soon sit and lay on t'challa's arm.

~20 mins later~
I hear footsteps as I look up to see the doctor, we shot up as I look at her "i-is he okay?" I asked "yes, we got the bullet out and luckily it didn't hit his spine so he's fine." I let out a breathe of relief  "can we see him?" I asked "only 3 can right now, he's awake but in pain," she says I grab amara and isla, "where are we going?" She asked "we're going to see baba," she soon smiles as we walk to the room. She opens the door and my heart drops to see erik laying there with mask in his nose and needles going through his vein on his hand. As I walk in tears comes out my eyes as I put isla down and she walks over to him, and she sobs "daddy wake up," she says "I'm here princess," his broken voice send me relief and also sadness as I walk over to him, he slowly lifts his hand wanting me to take his as I grab it and squeeze a little as I kiss his knuckle. "Baby you're ok," I said "I am, I'm in pain but I'm ok," he said I cry as he looks at me "don't cry adiyah, I hate seeing you cry," he says "I thought I lost you erik," I said "but I'm here, I'm not goin anywhere baby, I told you I would die for you, I would take the bullet for you," he said I nodded as I lean down and kiss his forehead.

"Baba hurt," amara says I look down at her "I'm alright babygirl, baba's Alright I'm just in pain," he reassures. "Since He is the the golden jaguar and he's taken the herb he should heal a little quicker then without it. It should take atleast 4 weeks to heal," the nurse explains I nodded "can I stay the night?" I asked "yes of course, I'll bring you a pillow and a blanket," I thanked her as she leaves. "What about the girls?" Erik asked "they can stay with t'challa, he feels guilty," I said and Erik looked at me confused "what do you mean guilty?" He asked "he feels guilty that he was able to stop him before he shot the gun," I said he huffs "it's not his fault," Erik said I nodded.

Isla yawns as I look at her "she's tired, I'm gonna bring you to t'challa," I said and the door opened to see shuri and t'challa walk in. T'challa looked at him horror as we walks on the other side "You okay cousin?" Shuri asked "yeah I'm just in pain right now, I can't move a lot," he says. "I was my fault," t'challa whispered "t'challa it was not your fault, don't put the blame on you," Erik said "I know it's just, if I didn't go sooner," t'challa said as I walk up to him and grabbed his shoulder. "I hope you get better cousin," t'challa says "t'challa, would you mind taking care of the girls for me?" I asked "sure," he says. The nurse comes back in with my pillow and blanket a I take them "visiting hours are over mr. stevens needs rest." The nurse says I go and pick isla and amara as I bring them over to erik"give baba a kiss before y'all leave," Isla kisses erik on his forehead and amara does the same "bye daddy," they said "bye my girls love you," he says "love you too" I smiled as they leave. I soon grab my phone and called my boss and told her I'm going to be out for while for this reason and she gladly said I can take the time off I need. I go and call shuri and told her to bring me some clothes.
