Chapter 13: missing him😔

~4 days later~
It's been 4 days and I'm missing him. And what's makes it worse is that we can't come in contact with each other. It was thunder storming and I hate thunderstorms, it would've been nice if erik was with me, I would be just fine but he's not here. Right now I'm laying in the bed as I was just in my bra and underwear as it thunderstorms. I look at he time and it was 5;30 a.m and I need to go to work soon. I sigh as I get up and put my pink robe on and go down the hallway, I open the door to the girls room as I see them fast asleep. I go in and kissed their foreheads gently. I crack the door a little and head back into the room. I soon go on my phone and look on ig because I'm bored and can't sleep.

Soon there was a loud thunder and I jumped and screamed. I pant as I shook my head, soon I hear footsteps and I look to see amara and isla crying "oh baby the thunder scared?" I asked they nodded and ran into the bed. "It's ok, mommy's scared of thunder too," I whisper I soon put my phone away and lay next to them as they cuddle to me. I soon fall asleep.

~the morning~

My alarm sounds, I groan and turn it off as I yawn. I look at the girls as they still are asleep. I get up and do my daily routine. As I put my outfit on.

I go and get the girls up. "Come on babies time to get up," I wake them up and they get ready as I go and make me some coffee and breakfast. They came downstairs and sat the table, "here to go,"I gave them their food "thank you mommy," they said as I smile. I drink my coffee as my phone rings. "Hello," I answered "hey Adiyah," Hennessy says "oh Hennessy, how are you?" I asked "good, on my way to the office," she said "alright I'll be there I gotta drop off my kids."I take there plate and put it in the dishwasher.

"Ok gurl see you there," she says "ok" I hung up as I go in the living room "isla, amara lets go before y'all be late for school," I said they came in with their book bags "okay momma," isla says as I grab my keys and my purse and phone. Amara comes and puts on her jacket as we leave.

I stop as I unlock the car, "bye mommy love you,"she comes up and kisses my cheek "love you too baby, be good in school," she gets out on "okay," she closes the door and goes into the school. I drive to Amara's daycare.

•Amara's daycare•

I park as I get out and she takes herself out and hopes out. She holds my hand as we go inside, I go up to the front desk "hey mrs.stevens," she greets "hi mrs. Johnson," I greet back I sign her in and we go into her room. "Hello," I greet as a woman comes up "hi I'm ms. Garrison, I'm the sub," she says "oh ok, be good amara," I squat down and kiss her cheek "ok mommy," she gives me a kiss and we hug and wave, and leave.

I walk into my office as I set my things down and I start to work. My boss soon comes in "good morning adiyah,"she smiles "good morning mrs. Padilla," I smiled back "today we have a few interviews and a couple of clients," she explained I nodded "ok I'm gonna get to that," I said as she leaves and I do my work. Hennessy soon comes in "Hey Hennessy," I greet "hey adiyah," she greets back "can't wait for my break cuz I'm tired," she said "work just started and you already tired," I chuckle "I couldn't get my coffee because I was in a rush," she huffed "so where's erik?" She asked "he's doing something important with t'challa," I said as I look on the computer "like what?" Ok. Why the fuck she asking about erik like it's her business. "I can't tell you," I said and I see out the corner of my eyes she rolled her eyes, now I'm starting to understand what erik was talking about.
