Beautiful Tragedy

Chapter 2

Peyton is so persistent. She said she was going to take me to the mall for her ice cream date with David.

"Why am I going with you on your date?" I said confused.

"Don't worry, I got you a date too... His name is Jack" she said happily.

"What?! You know I don't like blind dates. How could you do that?"

"Oh god Alex. Just give him a chance. You don't even know him. He's actually really sweet."

"Okay. Fine! But your buying me my ice cream"

"Alright"

We soon arrived at Whitfield mall. It was bigger than any mall I've seen. I could smell the food from outside. All the stores were fancy and everyone in them were so kind. I met my date at a bench in front of a fountain. He was totally gorgeous but I wasn't going to let him know that. What seemed odd to me is that peytens date was looking at me.

Jack is so cute. He has gorgeous blue green eyes and a body worth melting for. We all ended up at this place called Charlie's for some ice cream. It was the best ice cream I had in a long time. Jack and I shared ice cream since we both loved cookies and cream.

"Ha ha so, where are you from?" Jack said with his gorgeous smile.

" I'm from California. How about you?" I said with a small giggle.

"Australia."

'Oh my god!!! I'm so stupid. I should have known from his accent. Ahh I'm such a dope.' I thought to myself.

"Ah I knew that." I said doubtfully

"Hey are you okay?"

"Huh?! Yea.... Just a little nervous"

"Why would a girl like you be nervous in front of a guy like me?"

"What do you mean a girl like me? And a guy like you?"

" I don't know. You're just so beautiful, funny and cool. And I'm just a loser"

"You are definitely not a loser. You are an amazing guy. And I'm not beautiful. Peyton is beautiful. I'm just.. You know.... Me?."

"She is beautiful. But you? your different. I can see that your beautiful on the inside and out. You have an amazing personality that makes my heart want to explode"

"Really?" I said with a tear rolling down my face.

"No doubt."

We were almost out of ice cream and so jack went and got us one more scoop. As I was waiting I noticed that David was staring at me. When I turned to look he winked at me and turned away. I already knew that I didn't like him. He seems like a jerk. Jack came back and saw that I was a little weird.

"What's wrong."

" huh? Oh nothing I just saw that David was staring at me. I thought it was weird."

"Oh don't worry. He's perfectly harmless. Besides if anything were to happen to you, I'll be there to beat his ass"

"Ah ha ha. Thank you."

"So do you wanna ditch this place for something better?"

"Like what?"

"The park."

"What's so great about the park?"

"You shall see. So are you in?" He said with a grin.

"Oh totally!!"

He drove me to Anchor Park. I was confused. It looked a little boring. We walked out and he led me to a door. I have to admit. I was a little frightened.

"Ummm..... Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"What does this door lead to? I'm a little scared."

"Don't be it's great. And if we get in and your still scared, I'll get us out and comfort you till your okay."

"Promise?"

"Haha I promise."

We walked in and I kept my eyes closed. It wAs an empty room.

"What's so great about this?" I said .

He turned off the lights and the room lit up with beautiful colors of diamond. It was gorgeous and all I could do was smile. He saw my face light up. He laughed , looked me in the eye, and kissed me. My smile got bigger and he smiled.

We must have been there for 2 hours.

"Hey so are you ready to go? He said.

"Uhh yea... Sure."

"Do you want to go home?"

"Not really. But my curfew is almost up."

"I don't want it to end. This has been one of the best nights of my life."

I blushed a little. " it doesn't have to end. Tell you what I'll give you my number. And you can call and we can talk all night if you want."

" now that's an offer I can't pass up."
