I've been wanting to make this chapter for a while now, but I haven't known how.
The facts I've presented about myself here on Wattpad have been the same for five years. My name is Halley, middle name Genevieve. I'm 22 (almost 23), born on April 27th, and I live in Texas and attend University of Texas at Austin.
Everything I just stated is a lie.
When I created this book in June of 2016, I was 15 years old. I was on a family beach trip and decided I wanted to put my thoughts about atheism and religion on paper. I decided Wattpad would be the best outlet, since I'd already been a member for a year and had been avidly working on my Doctor Who book.
I was relatively new to social media and decided to create a fake identity in order to make myself feel safe and secure on this website. I named my fake self "Halley" after the comet and randomly chose the middle name Genevieve. April 27th is Jenna Coleman's (the actress who plays Clara Oswald on Doctor Who) birthday, and the age I chose at the time of making this book was 19, three years older than I was at the current time. I chose Texas because it is the birthplace of actor Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester from "Supernatural").
As time passed and I became more well known on Wattpad for this book, I decided to keep the fake identity going. Might as well make it realistic rather than unbelievable.
I kept the façade for four years and vowed never to share my true identity, until now.
This book has come to an end.
I haven't updated in several years and I don't ever plan on doing so. I want everyone who's been with me for this wild ride to know who I am, really, as a person.
My real name is Sophia. I'm 22 years old, turning 23 in August. I live in Portland, Oregon.
