57. Anxiety Attack

Seriously, when will you show us your girl, Andrew ?" Brian jokes as he brings a glass of water to his mouth. The table laughs at his comment, a good atmosphere reigning in the group.

"Hahaha." Andrew fakes a laugh and rolls his eyes. "You're so funny, Brian, really."

It's pretty much the same thing every time the team goes to the restaurant. Brian is always there to make everyone laugh, Josiah is in charge to get everybody a drink if needed, Dave and Eddy always sit next to each other to talk about music -even if it's supposed to be a break-, and Shawn insists for you to sit in front of him and always flirts with you during the whole meal.

This time, Andrew chose a nice little restaurant in the center of Toronto to celebrate the end of the European tour. The first leg of the tour is officially over, and some rest is well-needed for everyone. Y'all enjoy touring with Shawn, but nothing feels better than coming back in your own country. Needless to say that you were quite excited to find back your intimacy. Being one of the only girls on tour, surrounded by all those guys, can sometimes be exhausting.

"Two roasted salmons." The waiter announces as he arrives with two big plates in both his hands.

Mike and Geoff manifest and get served. Not even five minutes later, every person around this table has a nice meal waiting to be devoured in front of them. Josiah, fulfilling his responsibilities, offers everybody a glass of wine.

You loved moments like this. It so simple, but what is better than spending some good time with the people you love ? Shawn's team is like your second family, and you are really thankful for them. They absolutely adore you, and it's all reciprocal.

"You alright, baby ?" Shawn asks with a cute smile on his face, his eyes are clearly sparkling with joy.

You nod to answer him and smile at him too. He reaches his hand over the table and sets his big warm palm on the back of your hand. His thumb soothes your skin for a brief second before his best friend calls him and Shawn loses his attention.

The dinner goes on, some laughs are exchanged, and you find yourself talking about the kids with Zubin, who's sitting right next to you. He tells you how hard he finds it to be a father but how he would never choose to change anything. You're pretty familiar with the guitarist's sons. You've met them several times, and you find them absolutely adorable and polite. But of course, just like every child, they are really dynamic and it can be hard to keep up with them sometimes.

As Zubin continues to tell some anecdotes about his little family, your attention is slowly drifting to what's happening in front of you. Andrew is whispering some stuff into Shawn's ear, and they both look a tiny bit preoccupied. Your eyebrows frown slightly, but you try to focus on Zubin's speech. You can't help but observe your boyfriend's reactions at the same time. He glances several times towards the sidewalk that is just across the street of the restaurant.

Shawn catches you staring at him, but he reassures you with a silent "don't worry" and looks back into his plate. You finally put all your attention on Zubin until he eventually gets interrupted by Teddy who's debating with Josiah about the best rock band of the 90's and asks him his opinion.

"What's wrong ?" You whisper to Shawn over the table. Your boyfriend leans a bit to answer you in the most discreet way possible.
