Milo smirked at me. What? What does he mean by "We're going to have some fun."? I stare blankly and pondered at Milo's words until he walked over to the door and proceeded to close it with a satisfying click."Haha, I'm just kidding. Kinda." He walks over to the couch and beckons me to sit beside him.
"What do you mean by "kinda"? It looked like you weren't joking." I walk over and sit beside Milo.
"That's why I said "kinda". Now relax, if you have any questions now is the time. Fire them at me."
"Well, I'd like to know how you get food, clothes, furniture? You know the necessities. How do you get all those stuff without any human interaction? You said you didn't have lots of chances to speak with others."
"Oh, yeah. The men in black suits give them to us."
"Like, as a payment?"
"Yes, you could say that. But we also get some money from them. We barely use it, though."
"Oh, that makes sense."
"Anymore questions? I can answer them all!" Milo makes hand gestures followed by his phrase.
"Um, do you get some form of education? Do you know what it's like outside of this forest?"
"Oh, we have online school, books, computers and phones. We basically learn that way. C'mon we're not that isolated. We know a few things here and there. We just lack human communication and interaction." Right there are many ways to not have human interaction for months and still be connected with the rest of the world. That was a stupid question. I thought to myself.
"Man, that was a stupid question."
"No, it wasn't. It was a perfect question to ask." His smile caught me by surprise.
"Oh! I didn't mean to say that out loud. Haha.." I curse myself quietly.
"Oh, Sapphire?"
"Yeah?"
"I hope we can become good friends." He tilts his head innocently smiling.
"Me too, I hope to get to know you better. I'm sure we will." I smile back at him.
"No, mom! Lemme see her! C'mon!" Milo's ears perked up and I heard a deep and excited voice outside of the house. Followed by Evette's,
"Seriously Dylan! Control yourself! Stop acting so immaturely!"
"Mom! You said she was a cute girl! A cute girl! I haven't had many chances to meet a cute girl!" I heard the voices grow louder.
"Ugh, Dylan's back." Milo rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Dylan? Your older brother?" I asked recalling on Evette's story.
"Yeah, my older brother." Milo replied. Then, I heard the doorknob fiddle until the door swung open and a handsome, tall man walked in the room.
"Hey there, cutie."
