Y/n pov

I walked to my locker with Josh and Preston following me. They've been my best friends since the beginning of middle school and now we're freshmen in high school which is hard to believe. Only two more months until Summer. "Hey Y/n, what did you think of Mr. Harrison's class? Boring as usual?" Preston teased in a friendly manner.

I shook my head and made my way to my locker. "Nah, it's the only class I have with you two." I told him as I unlocked my locker. I grabbed my backpack and packed up as they waited for me. Once I was done I put my backpack on and looked at Josh. "Now onto your locker."

 "Yeah, it's not like we do this everyday." He said as we made our way to his locker. Once he was packed we went outside and waited for the bus to come. Josh and Preston ride the bus and I just rode with my friend Meg. "Earth to Y/n." I shook my head and looked at Josh.

 "What?" He face palmed and then pointed at Meg's car. "Oh, thanks. See you guys on Monday!" I waved and made my way to Meg's car. I knocked on the window as I made my way over and saw her jump. I laughed and got into the car. "How was your scare?"

 "Scare me again and you won't have a ride home next time." Meg growled at me as I smiled sheepishly. She sighed and then smiled. "It's nice to see you too Y/n."

 "So your not mad?"

 She face palmed and then started her car. "You really aren't the brightest are you?"

 "Hey!" I shouted out. "If I'm not the brightest, then explain how Josh is in high school."

 "I can't really argue with you there." Meg said as she drove towards Steven's house. "So, if you don't mind me asking, when are you gonna talk to your parents?" My smile disappeared as I looked out the window. I heard Meg sighed as the car stopped at a red light most likely. "I know they fight all the time, but you can't just pretend everything's fine. Just promise me you'll talk to them soon, okay?"

 "Alright. I'll talk to them this weekend." I mumbled as I looked at her. She smiled and then looked back at the road. I got my phone out and texted Steven.

Hey Steven im coming over again. See you in a little.

I looked up and saw that we were close to Steven's house so I grabbed my backpack. "Hey you can drop me off right here. I can walk the rest of the way." I told Meg as she slowed down.

 "You sure?" I nodded and we both got out of the car. She hugged me and handed me a granola bar. "Here you go. I believe in you Y/n. Don't be afraid and if something happens you call me as soon as your somewhat safe."

I laughed and shook my head. "Alright mom." She jokingly punched my shoulder and got into the car. I waved to her as she drove away and then made my way to the Big Donut. I walked in and greeted Sadie before I ordered some donuts. I paid for them and we chatted for a bit. After I left I made my way to Steven's.

I knocked on the door and waited for someone to open the door. The door opened after a minute and I saw Steven. "Did somebody order some donuts?"

 "Y/n!" Steven shouted as he hugged my leg. I hugged him back and then handed him the donuts. "Connie's here too so it's like a mini party now!" He squealed as he dragged me inside.
