Chapter Sixteen : Confused
"What?" Alexis asked.
"Will you," Corbyn paused, "Go on a date, with me?"
Alexis looked at him with furrowed eyebrows, "You can literally make me go, it's part of the bet."
Corbyn shook his head, "But I wanna know if you do or don't." Alexis smiled. Corbyn actually cared and valued her opinion. Corbyn smiled back, "So?"
"Let me think about you." Alexis answered.
Corbyn nodded his head, "I'll take that as a yes."
Alexis laughed, "It's a maybe."
"Or a yes."
"Maybe."
"Yes."
"Maybe."
"Maybe."
"Yes, wait, fuck no!" Alexis shouted.
Corbyn laughed, "Looks like you're going."
Alexis laughed and shook her head, "Give me until the end of the day."
Corbyn nodded his head, "Okay." Corbyn wrapped his arms around Alexis' shorter figure. She didn't complain, she loved the smell of Corbyn's cologne.
Alexis snuffed his chest and smiled, "What's this for?" She asked with a mumble.
"For what happened. With Jayden and his friends, everything." Corbyn explained as he laid his chin on Alexis' head, "I'm sorry."
Alexis shook her head, "It's okay. Sometimes me and the girls overact. Like the time at lunch when you fought the boys, it was also the same day you guys hung out with Kay and her friends."
Corbyn nodded his head as he pulled out of the hug, "I know. It was Zach's idea, him and Carla gotten into a fight."
"But in the end, we won." Alexis smirked lightly.
"I mean we did fight the other guys." Corbyn countered.
"But you didn't have to."
"But he was talking shit, and it was about you." Corbyn cupped her cheek, "I care too much for you, I can't just stand there was watch someone knock you down. I want to build you up, I know about you Alexis."
"What do you mean?" Alexis questioned.
"You being depressed, and it's okay." Corbyn reassured, "I'm here and I'm never leaving."
Alexis smiled slightly, "And thank you for even staying this long."
Corbyn kissed her forehead, "No problem."
Corbyn stepped back from Alexis and smiled, "Answer by the end of the school day."
Alexis nodded her head with a chuckled, "I know, I know."
"Meet me at the main entrance, after school, don't be late." That was all Corbyn said before he walked out of the closet.
"What is he doing to me?" Alexis questioned herself before she walked out of the janitors closet, "Now, time for hell."
