I sit on the couch with my feet hanging over the armrest as I read chapter 10 of Divergent, and try to tune out my hectic home but catch onto a conversation Tasha is having.
"Yes, Mom. Leo, Anya, and I love our new home." I rest my book onto my stomach then swing my legs around so they rest on the ground near Adam's head, whilst he uses Leo as a barbell, and brush my long hair to the side and stare at my godmother then close my book."Oh, you should come and visit."
I look around and see Chase and Bree tossing a small ball around, and once again see Adam using leo as a barbell, good use of Leo if I do say so myself. I then spot Davenport standing on one leg with some weird contraption on his head and raise an eyebrow then shake it off. Eh, it's not the weirdest thing I've seen in this house since I moved in.
"But not today." I silently scoff at how desperate she sounds."Why? Because Donald's not feeling well." I set my book next to me on the couch and begin to silently clap at her quick albeit horrible excuse."Look, I gotta go. He just threw up in my purse. Love you, bye!" She quickly hangs up the phone and I begin to giggle at how terrified she is at the thought of Grandma Rose coming over.
I miss Grandma Rose. I study her sassiness whenever she's here but, she stresses out Tasha majorly.
"You know we're gonna have to have your mother over eventually." The mad scientist speaks as he removes his hands from the antennas on the creepy helmet upon his head.
"No, we don't. Look my mom doesn't just visit. She has inspections." Not gonna argue the inspections point."If she spots anything weird, she will use it as an excuse for her to move in." She finishes as she now stands in front of Davenport.
"She's not wrong Big D." Tasha gestures to me with her hand and gives him a look as if to say 'see'.
"Nothing weird here." Bree says after she super speeds to catch a ball Chase threw. Well, not weird for us but weird for Grandma Rose.
"Honey, when your mother visits, I will shower her with love, I will make her feel welcome" Oh that is soooo false, he's scared of Rose. If she gets here he is gonna run off and avoid her for as long as possible."and I will do everything humanly possible to--"
I hear the doorbell and whip my head around to see Grandma Roses's face appear on the screen.
"I'll be in the lab." I hear Davenport say with worry in his voice. I look over and sure enough he is running away and I'm honestly surprised Tasha hasn't stopped him.
"Quick! Turn invisible!" I raise my brow at Tasha as she yells to the bionic trio in panic."Oh, come on, you have every other freaky ability." I slightly shrug my shoulders then stand to my feet and go behind Leo as the others hide. Tasha runs as fast as she could and stands in front of Leo and I as Rose enters.
"Oh, good. It's unlocked." She then shuts the door and walks to us as Tasha gives her a fake happy greeting.
"Mom! You're here." She gives her a side hug then releases with her still not noticing Leo and I.
"Would've been here sooner if it hadn't of been for your stupid gate." I curl my lips in to hold in the laugh threatening to burst from my lungs and clasp my hands together.
"Oh, that's just Donald's Titanium security fence."
"Well, if you ram it with your car hard enough, it pops right open." My shoulders scrunch up while trying to hold back the laugh, and I take a long deep breath and ride the laugh from my system. She looks behind Tasha and spots Leo and opens her arms and goes to him.
