2 months later...
Like everyday, I would get to school and I would walk towards him but today was a little bit different. He told me that he trusted me and asked me if he can tell me something important. Odd.
My heart was racing and my thoughts were running all over the place. I was hoping he would ask the big question. He said, "Will you..." and then took a long pause. Instantly I said "Yes " and I hugged him. He said" Thank you for helping me!" and that when I knew I was wrong.
"Umm...With what?" I asked laughing and he said, " For agreeing to help me... with Stephanie". Once I heard those words I was dead. Not there. Not anywhere. I felt like I've been sucked into the earth. My heart just stopped and I felt my blood drain to my feet. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked and I said "Of Course. But one question... What do I mean to you?".
William looked down (that was his real name). After a whole ten seconds he looked up to me and chuckled while saying "What do you mean? You're my best friend, like a sister. I thought you knew that". I quickly tried to seem happy and I smiled, "Good so you know that you don't have to ask for my help idiot." After that the bell rang and we each walked off to class.
