Bucky sat down next to Steve, "I'm happy for you. You and Peggy deserved this, really."
"Thank you." Steve smiled at his friend, "If you're really done with all of this, you could have the same thing. If you're done saving the world you have the same chance I did."
"You know, I've been in love with the same person for as long as I can remember. I've spent years hoping, but I'm not going to get that chance with them." Bucky glanced down at his hands, "I never really had that chance to begin with."
Steve placed a hand on Bucky's shoulder, "I've done it Buck. There are ways for you to change all of that."
"But I don't think I will, Steve." Bucky sighed, he shot Steve a sad smile and a tear rolled down his cheek, "I've been with so many people and I've never felt the same about anyone else. I fell in love, then I watched them fall in love with someone else. They lived their life, Steve, they're happy. And I love them too much to take that away."
