Sam's POV
Friday

The drive to the motel took longer than I expected. A whole bunch of cars decided to crash last night on the highway, which caused more traffic than usual. I ended up having to stay at a hotel.

I barely got any sleep my mind was racing with horrible, brutal thoughts. Without realizing I accidentally dug my nails into my skin and made my self bleed. I was ready to burst at any moment, but I had to control myself until I found them.

I woke up to the sound of cars beeping, I'm not used to sleeping in hotels by myself, I usually have Colby with me. I've slept so much with Colby I forgot how it felt to sleep by myself.

I got out of bed in a horrible mood, I walked over to the bathroom and did my business. I put on the same clothes I wore yesterday, I didn't bring anything else. I grabbed the keys to the rental car and went to the lobby (I had to pay extra for the car since I didn't bring it back in 1 day).

I got in the car and tried to go back on the highway, it was still rush hour so there was more traffic than usual, not to mention the constant car crashes. It's like the world doesn't want me to make it to where I have to be.

Every minute the cars would move a little bit, there was no way of escaping the traffic. I decided to turn on some music since I was losing my patients, music always calms me.

I plugged in the aux cord to my phone and opened Spotify. The first song that came on was one of my favorites. 'Let me down slowly'. I don't have a bad voice so I sang along.

'This night is cold in the kingdom
I can feel you fade away
From the kitchen to the bathroom sink and
Your steps keep me awake

Don't cut me down, throw me out, leave me here to waste
I once was a man with dignity and grace
Now I'm slipping through the cracks of your cold embrace
So please, please

Could you find a way to let me down slowly?
A little sympathy, I hope you can show me
If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely
If you're leaving baby let me down slowly'

I was interrupted by the person behind me crashing into me. My car moved up and crashed into the car in front of me, it was like dominos. It wasn't a slight little tap, it was full speed crash. The airbags inflated and squished my face. I managed to look through the back window of the car and see blue hair.

Brennen and Katrina. I managed to open the door and fell out, my head was bleeding and I was shaking. I saw Brennen and Katarina running away, I tried to catch up but my head was spinning and I could barely walk.

I managed to get inside their car and saw that they had been following me the whole time. They were always one step ahead of me. I heard the faint sound of sirens, I went back into my car and made it seem like I had been stuck there.

About 3 minutes later a paramedic was getting me out of the car and putting on a stretcher. I was put in the back of an ambulance and taken to the hospital. I blacked out when I got inside the ambulance.

Time skip to hospital

I woke up with a pounding in my head, It's worse than having a hangover. I looked down at my arm and saw that I had an IV in me.

"Nice to see you awake." A nurse said walking in.

"What hospital am I in?"

"You're in Kansas City Hospital." I'm in the same hospital as Colby at least I can see him
"So we can be discharged."

"Tomorrow you will be discharged, we just need to keep you for further examination." I nodded my head and let her do her job.

I had no source of fun since Colby was still in the hospital, I wonder how he's doing. When I get discharged I'm going to go see him and see if I can jog his memory back slowly. Brennen and Katrina are probably watching me. They will always be one step ahead when Colby's memory comes back we will make them pay, my anger has disappeared for now.

While I'm here I should come up with a plan, to catch them. This will take a while, but I have some time.

I sat on the bed thinking and thinking I was up for the whole night, my mind wouldn't stop thinking. When the sun was rising I had a whole plan set up that would take at least 3 weeks to start but it was worth it.
