Selina

I ran upstairs to my apartment and shut the door quickly, before exhaling slowly.

I closed my eyes gently and tried to focus on something, anything else apart from him. But of course, it didn't work.

I could never understand why I was like this; for someone who had to fight their whole life to live, I couldn't even get one man off my mind?

I rubbed my eyes slowly, before looking down to see a beautiful white feline rubbing against my ankles. I smiled gently. "Why hello Isis."

I bent down and scratched her head soothingly which made her purr in pleasure and let out a small meow. She remained at my ankles, and looked up at me, her deep earthy eyes watching me closely. I began to make my way to the kitchen counter and filled up her bowl with her favorite cat treats; I was just about to hand it to her when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled out my phone to see an unknown sender who had texted me picture of Gotham Museum; there was a new arrival of a very expensive artefact, famed around the world.

It was of a beautiful Egyptian Goddess, and was encased in pure gold.

I smiled, and shoved my phone back into my pocket; it must be worth millions and it was sitting all alone on that pedestal in the museum, gleaming amongst boring museum attractions and statues.

If I wasn't meant to steal it, why would anything as expensive as that end up in Gotham?

When I gave Isis her treats, I walked up to my room and took out my outfit; it was a black bodysuit, complete with a whip at its side and a few other weapons I could use. Below it, I had my classic high heels, which I had learnt to use to my advantage; it was perfect for knocking people out. The bodysuit was quite revealing; it had a zip in the front and I always lowered it down, showcasing my chest. It always made me feel confident in front of ugly thugs and guards.

It wasn't the most ideal thing to wear for thievery but I had to steal in style; my style.

When I wore my outfit, I walked up to the window, opening it slightly and ready to pounce. I took one last look back at my apartment, and saw Isis sitting patiently on the couch, and watching me closely. I smiled again at her, "Good girl Isis, watch out for intruders." And with that, I jumped out and set off towards Gotham museum.

I was almost there, almost at the verge of receiving that beautiful ancient artefact.

The guards were never too intelligent for me; if they were, then there would be no crime in Gotham. They were always so distracted, and so easy to manipulate; it was only an added bonus that they hated their jobs.

I was crawling on the ceiling, careful not to make much noise or attract too much attention. Armed guards walked around calmly, talking to each other now and then, their guns hanging off their belts. I felt a smirk on my face; did they even know how to operate them?

Then they gathered in a group, towards the very front of a statue of a dinosaur, and started conversations with one another to try to pass the boredom.

This gave me the perfect opportunity to get past them with ease.

Within a few minutes, I had arrived in front of the infamous artefact; it gleamed beautifully in the spotlight, as if it was waiting for me to take it.

It was even more gorgeous up close; a priceless addition to my collection, and one that would make me millions.

Before I walked towards it, I wore my red glasses, eager to find any security barriers that would go off. Surely enough, there were a few in front of it, invisible lasers that would make every alarm go off if you weren't careful. I grinned to myself; it was lucky that I was an expert in gymnastics.
