Monday,
Day Three of Gura High...

"...so applying the Pythagoras Theorum that we learned last year, we would now take x and... Hyo-Sonn! What would we do with x?"

The ever chatting girl finally stopped, staring dumbly at the teacher with a smile as fake as her nails. "Uh... replace with y?"

A low murmuring of laughter flooded the room, and Eun-Seung couldn't help but to roll her eyes, finishing her notes. Class ended for lunch in a few minutes anyways.

"Wrong again, Miss Choi," Mr. Kim sighed. "Read the booklet of formulas I handed out before once in a while, would you?"

She blushed and nodded, finally shutting up.

"Well," he rumbled on, adjusting his glasses. "I guess that's the assignment tonight. Read page twenty-three and do the next five pages in the workbook."

The bell rang, releasing the class from his unyeilding stare of doom, whatever attention he held dissapating like mist in the wind.

Eun-Seung gathered her materials and put them in her bag, starting to leave the classroom. She walked down the noisy hallways and glanced out the window, noticing that the gates were still closed, as if the whole campus was on lockdown.

Eun-Seung looked back at signs above doors, disgruntled. She felt agitated. Screw lunch, she wanted to punch something. An hour of lunch break was all they gave anyways.

A worm of satisfaction wrigled in her as she saw one that said "boxing gym". She glanced inside, noticing how much quieter it suddenly was, and realized how far away she was away from the classrooms. Good move on the school's part, she commented silently, pleased.

Eun-Seung opened the doors quietly, hoping no one would be in. She walked over to a bag, and admired how new it was, letting her fingers trail down the thick fabric. Eun-Seung had brought her wraps with her just in case she found time to let go and quickly took them out, wrapping the fabric around her wrists, around her hands, through her fingers, around her knuckles, and jolted as she heard laughter and footsteps headed her way.

She grabbed her bag and dashed behind a column, holding her half-wrapped hand close to hide it. Eun-Seung's heart beat against her chest like a bird trying to escape a cage, breath erratic. She didn't want anyone finding out she was an MMA fighter.

She tried to calm down as she realized that they were not coming in, sighed, leaning her head against the pillar. Why was she so nervous? Was it because of the amount of fighters in the school?

Eun-Seung might've been prideful, but she wasn't dumb. She knew that a few of them had members in gangs, or had family friends who were in gangs, who knew of the Silver Tiger. Eun-Seung didn't want to get caught up in gangs wars. She just wanted to pay the bill, and have enough to set her mother for however longer she lived.

She clenched her jaw stubbornly, a flash of old bitterness and stubborness making her continue to wrap her hands.

Let them come, she growled in her mind. It's been awhile since I was shown respect.

"I'll bring over Eun-Seung one of these days to meet you all," Moon-Young panted, eyes bright with the exercise. She was with Queen in her personal gym, warming up with the jump rope after just finishing with her stretches. "It'll be good for Jae-Gu to get to know more fighters- especially one that really uses the term MMA to the max."

Queen paused slightly from beating up the punching bag. She stopped her leg midair, raised high and posed to deliver a lethal high kick.

Moon-Young nervously chuckled inside. She could've sworn that the bag shed tears.

"Are we... not enough?" Queen asked hesitantly.

Moon-Young blinked. Then grinned widely. "Oh ho! Are you nervous about Eun-Seung taking up all of Jae-Gu's attention??" She practically cackled.

Queen stared down at her from inside the ring, then readjusted her stance to preform the kick again.

Wham!

The bag swayed like a willow branch in a storm.

Moon-Young chuckled nervously, feeling sweat that didn't come from the workout. "Anyways," she rambled on. "she's pretty shy at first, but once she opens up... well, you'll see soon enough."

"What school does she go to again?" Queen asked, delivering a violent combination of punches, jabs, and kicks.

Moon-Young frowned, raising an eyebrow. "Gura. Weren't you listening before? She's attending as a freshman, although she's only a few months younger than me."

Queen blinked, the only sign of her being actually startled. "She's my senior?"

Moon-Young paused, losing her pace for a moment. "Ah... I guess she is. But it doesn't really matter, since you guys are just months apart. Besides, she'll know who you are. Ooh! I'm excited just to see how she deals with DalDal..."

Queen paused from her strikes, taking a moment to glance at her best friend. She smiled softly, wondering how it was to meet a close friend after so long. Oh well. "Hey, Lee Moon-Young,"

Her friend stopped her rambling, cocking her head to let Queen continue.

"let's spar."
