Eunseung slipped through the downtown shadows, cast by neon lights and mountainous buildings covered with signs. Children's happy squeals and whines as families went home melted into laughter of men as her scenery slid into the grittier part of town. Korea was known for being one of the safest countries in the world... but less known to the public outside the city, there were little pockets and chains of excitement that lay buried underneath the fame of current trends.

She crossed a street and headed for an alleyway.

The fights were located in four parts of the city, every few days. They typically switched the location, withholding it untill last minute, so the crowd had to tune it quite close to know where. Each place was rundown and disused, the main city still somehow not finding the funds to make use of the space.

That's where CG came in. CG was a friend of her mother (through his wife), He was basically the curator of the matches, organizing the fights and hacking into documents and legal terms for the locations to remain as they were: used and untouched. He himself owned one of the locations, making it easier, but they couldnt afford the attention. His wife was a hacker as well, later executed by the feds as they found out about her... extracurricular activities on a raid.

Shoot to kill mission. No one was taken alive that day.

Not even CG knew much about what his wife did-- he had to learn about it on the news as they rattled off names of the dead. So he buried himself in fights, watching other people fight, making himself busy with mundane work. The police had voiced a strong dislike for petty fights and gang violence, so this was CG's little 'fuck you' to them.

Eunseung shook her head, snorting in dark amusement as she followed to the end of the shortcut. A small back door at the back of a warehouse, leading straight to the makeshift 'locker room' CG kept for her. It was a glorified broom closet, but she appreciated the gesture. The middle aged man always had a soft spot for her, treating the young fighter like family. It was the closest thing he had anyways.

She opened the concealed door, flicking on the light. Eunseung pulled off the hood of her thin cover from her face, letting her fingers trace the silver trim of the darker-than-black fabric. It was lightweight and nothing on her shoulders, where it was cut to show off her toned arms, falling down just below her butt. Eunseung slipped it off and tossed it on the corner, pulling down her crop top slightly. The black material was breathable and showed off her arms and abs, but was also a turtleneck. Around her throat it was skin tight but not constrictive, like the rest of the shirt. She wore black leggings and shoes, and black half-gloves that had steel knuckles. Eunseung usually only wore it on her left hand, to both reassure CG and give her opponents a fair enough chance (by not wearing them on her right), but on particularly bad days she went full out. Today wasn't one of them.

The rules of the cage were simple enough. One: if you and your opponent had a major difference in weights, then the smaller would be allowed to use a weapon agreed by both parties. No one really did this (as it was deemed weak), so it was fairly nonexistent, so the rule was never really questioned unless female fighters fought against males.

Two: blades were not allowed in the cage. One asshole had snuck one in when fighting Eunseung, and sliced her back when the wind was kicked out of her. She had won the fight in a short series of events; pride wouldn't have allowed her to lose to that mongrel.

Three: if your opponent dies, you clean up the mess. No one else. Although she had seen a few deaths in the cage, no one down here really wanted to deal with the whole financial aftermath, so it was generally avoided.

Four: no recordings, no posts, no leaks. If there was any digital footprints or signs that the cops knew, there would be repercussions. CG would make sure of it.
