Next day...

"....partners?" Soojin smiled widely, without hesitation. It was clear she thought that Eunseung wouldn't refuse. And she was right.

Eunseung shrugged, seeing no harm in it. "Sure. The project is due next week, so we'll have plenty of time even if we train or something."

"My thoughts exactly," Soojin nodded. "You came here at an odd time—end of March! With all the projects and everyone training for the preliminaries, it certainly won't be boring anytime soon. Everyone here wants to crush the Wild's High girls. Its usually easy riding through the preliminaries, to be honest. But I heard that the person Queen chose to be her opponent is a guy, and training at their school."

       Eunseung blinked. "Who's the opponent?"

Soojin thought, tilting her head. "I think his name is Jaegu Song. I can't seem to find any of his tournaments or fights to be honest. Rethinking about joining the preliminaries?"

Eunseung shook her head,  laughing to herself at this news. Moonyoung never said they were training the scrawny thing to be Queen's downfall. "Nah, its too late, anyways. I'll have to settle for next year to be one of the eight in the Wild's League."

They walked around the school, Soojin doing most of the talking and showing her where places were. They headed into a staircase, and bumped into a group going down. At the head of the band, Eunseung recognized the redhead that helped her on her first day.

Soojin bowed and murmured a respectful apology and greeting, Eunseung almost forgetting to do the same. She bowed slightly at the last second, echoing Soojin's words.

Hyeshin—Eunseung remembered the redhead's name—blinked in recognition at the beanie wearing girl. "Hey, late girl! You're the new kid the principal was talking about right?"

Her senior was accompanied by a larger boy and two other girls, who waited Eunseung's answer.

       "Uh... I think so?"

"Don't act dumb," she said sharply, but not unkindly. Eunseung guessed she didn't like people who wasted her time. "You're accompanied by the Muay Tai captain, now talking to the boxing captain. See the pattern? I was actually looking for you— well, Minam was, anyways. He's a freshman as well but in class B. We'll be joining him soon enough."

The bell rang. Hyeshin paid no attention to it, though nodded when her friends said their goodbyes.

"We have to get to our next class," Eunseung lowered her head respectfully,  backing away a step. Soojin's eyes bugged out. "Sorry, but we have to go."

"Nonsense," Hyeshin snorted. "You're with an S-Ranking fighter. In Gura high, we do have our perks. Your friend can come if she wants to, but we're going to the boxing gym. It won't take long— I have things to get back to doing as well."

"Alright, so you know about the preliminaries."

"Its the biggest topic I've heard since I've came," Eunseung admitted, walking briskly to match HyeShin's pace. Soojin had left quickly after catching sight of a teacher, almost disbelieving of the amount of power Hyeshin actually had.

Eunseung learned that the sophmore redhead was a kickboxing champion, undefeated for two years until Queen came along with a high kick a month ago and knocked the title from her name...  and sent her straight to the ER in the process. Hyeshin vowed she would take back the title and destroy Queen; the newcomer to boxing who only had a couple months prep before absolutely destroying Hyeshin.
