"…your second week!" Moonyoung rambled. "Your second week and you're already getting into fights!”
Eun-Seung rolled her eyes, sighing as she leaned backwards on her cousin's back, body facing front of cars that just couldn't keep up. "You say that like you're disappointed in me," she grumbled. "It's your rival school. You should be more grateful that there's some infighting going on."
Moonyoung skidded to a halt in front of a carwash, holding her bike upright with a leg to the side. She swivled around to see Eun-Seung's bored expression staring at her, and grinned. "Damn right I am! What was the fight about anyways? Who's in the hospital? How many?"
Eun-Seung chuckled and hopped off the bike, walking next to MoonYoung as she walked it up to a nearby bench where a couple others sat; a short, petite looking girl, and a tall, posed blonde. "Sorry to disapoint, but no one's in the hospital, and–"
"What's this I hear about a hospital?" A girl barked, breaking off from her one-sided argument. "Bush-Pig, did you put someone in? Who's this, anyways?"
Eun-Seung blinked in surprise at the ferocity of this small, petite looking girl with the tiger ear pins. But she turned to Moonyoung. "Bush…pig?"
"Don't even start," Moonyoung growled. Eun-Seung swore she saw hair pop out of her high bun. "Dwarf! Show some respect. This is Eun-Seung, my cousin, and someone who puts your kicks to shame."
"What-"
"I highly doubt that, fattie," she sniffed, looking down her nose at the pair, hands on her hips. Eun-Seung raised her eyebrows. The girl was at least a foot shorter than her. "My name's DalDal Choi, sophmore and captain of the Taekwondo team in Wild's. Who are you?"
"Na Eun-Seung," she replied with a grin. "And very much pleased to learn of this nickname you've given my dearest cousin."
"Hey!"
DalDal sniffed again, looking at her thoughtfully. "Are you a boxer like her?"
Eun-Seung cocked her head. "I do a mix of my own stuff, but kickboxing was my basis."
"Hey guys," a scrawny boy piped up warily from behind a car he was washing. "Not to seem rude, but-" he broke off as he caught sight of Eun-Seung, and Moonyoung waved him over.
"Come here! I want you to meet my cousin!"
He hesitated, talking to the driver. The man glanced at him and smiled widely, laughing, waved him away. He bowed slightly and jogged over, meeting her inquisitive eyes.
"Hello," he awkwardly started. "My name is Jaegu Song and I… work here part time."
"Eunseung Na," she nodded in return, looking at Moonyoung with a sideways glance. "Moonyoung said something about you wanting some advice for enhancing your fighting skills? Looks to me like you have enough veterans to win the olympics."
Jaegu blushed slightly, while the others puffed out their chests. Except the blonde, who was used to the praise.
Eunseung knew who she was. Queen was her fighting name, but Moonyoung told Eunseung all about her. From what she heard and saw, Queen really did deserve that name.
She looked forward to sparring with her in the future.
"Well, at least she's smarter than you, big-foot," DalDal commented with a slight snigger. "But Jaegu, sweetheart! Try this chicken I made for you at lunch! Its my mother's recipe, you know!"
Jaegu, looking uncomfortable with DalDal's absolute adoration, tried to respectfully decline.
"If he won't have it, I will," Moonyoung eyed the dish greedily, making a move to snatch it.
"Like hell you will," the cook with the dirty blonde hair snapped.
"Glutton," Eunseung sniggered as she poked her cousin in the ribs.
"Ha!" DalDal taunted.
"Hey!"
Jaegu looked uncertain whether to laugh or to sigh, so he looked at Queen, stoic and posed as ever, before returning back to the car. Eun-Seung glanced at him, and the car waiting behind. "I'll help you," she offered, taking off her bag and rolling up her sleeves. She noticed Queen and DalDal snap to attention, one less assertive than the other.
"I will too!" DalDal said immediately, pausing from aiming a kick at Moonyoung.
Queen got into the suit more quietly and slipped off next to where Eun-Seung was already soaking a sponge, offering her another suit.
Eunseung blinked in surprise at the girl, but took it gratefully. "Thank you, Queen."
She lowered her eyes, nodding.
They ended up washing cars for about an hour and a half. The time flew by, and Eunseung got to learn quite a bit about the band of misfits Moonyoung was so eager to invite her into.
She learned that DalDal Choi was the daughter of a food reasercher and a pilot, and originally only took up Taekwondo to stay healthy. She ended up having more interest in it than other hobbies and soon became the captain.
Eunseung learned that Jaegu had twin siblings in first grade he took care of himself; they were under the radar of child care services, father dead and mother a runaway. He had been offered a four-year scholarship in Wild's High (a once-all-girl's school) as he was the only boy that had applied so far.
She didn't learn much from Queen, other than stuff she could find out online, but the stuff she did she took note of diligently. Her real name was In-Gyi Yoon, first born of the YK line, and was Eun-Seung's age. She had a soft spot for Jaegu, kept her emotions behind a thick wall, and expected respect from those around her. Eunseung agreed with the last part. Queen had proven herself time and time again in the world of MMA, and people did respect her— with and without the name of the YK behind her. She was an S-Rank fighter and the best in Wild's high—the private, recently co-ed school specializing in MMA.
As they all headed back after Jaegu apologized and asked if they couldn't come over that night, Eunseung mused upon what had happened during her time here so far.
"So?" Moonyoung asked cheerfully, peddaling the bike quickly. Eunseung leaned against her back, waiting for her to complete the question. "How did you like them?"
"Well enough," Eun-Seung smiled. "It'd be better if you could get me a chance to spar with Queen, though..." She teased.
"Hah! I thought you weren't fighting anymore? Ready to eat your words?"
Eun-Seung blushed. "I haven't been fighting! Not formally, anyways..."
Moonyoung snorted. "Uh, huh. Sure. And I actually am a Bush-Pig."
"...but you are..."
"Oh, shush."
