"....so the plasma carries heat, red blood cells, white blood cells, amino acids, and.... Jieun, can you tell me one of the three others I've left out?"
The student did.
Eunseung's pen left her grasp. She squeezed her eyes shut and clenched her jaws in attempt to force down her yawn, last night tiring her more than she would've expected. Going to and fro from-
"Hi!" An overly peppy girl spun around and grinned at Eunseung, making her start. Then sigh. It was wayyy too fucking early for this. "We haven't met, I think. Well I mean, we have but I never got to say 'hi' before this and I was kinda sick from food poisoning the first few days you were here and I heard that-"
"Ahem," the teacher coughed, raising a brown, stencilled eyebrow at the girl. "We're having a lesson here? Biology is not a free for all talking class, in case you didn't realize."
"Sorry, Mr. Kim," she apologized, looking only sorry that she got caught. She shot Eunseung a look that was full of mirth.
He snorted and continued the lesson.
"I'll talk to you later," she yelled in a whisper, dark brown eyes glimmering with laughter. She spun around, chatting quietly with the girl next to her with a big grin.
Eunseung didn't know what to make of her, and kept her expression same as before; bewlidered and exsasperated. She shook her head and took picked up her pen again, twirling it between her fingers. She didn't have time to waste.

The bell rang and the teacher left, leaving the students to pack up their materials and get their books for the next class. As soon as Eunseung pulled her books from her bag and set them on her desk, the over friendly classmate was standing at her side.
"Hey!" She grinned. Eunseung started once more. For someone who talked so loudly, she could sneak up on a ghost.
"I heard that you kinda got in a fight, so Principal Woo wanted the captains of the martial arts clubs to introduce you to their teams!" She widened her eyes, suddenly alarmed. "That's not to say I don't want to get to know you, of course! I still do want to be your friend- I mean, if you actually do want to be friends and—"
"Hey," Eunseung interrupted her rambling, feeling kinda bad. "What's your name?"
"Soojin Woo," she said, swallowing the rest of her words.
"Well, Soojin, let's start with being acquaintances, then well see where it goes from there." Eunseung felt she had to give at least that. It seemed enough for Soojin anyways.
She grinned widely. "Yes! Good idea. Haha, sorry if I came off to pushy. I am usually less intense but the principal put so much pressure on us captains and I couldn't help but—"
"Soojin," Eunseung interrupted. "Its fine. What are you the captain of, anyways?"
She laughed awkwardly, realizing she had been talking too much again. "Muay Tai," she grinned. "Thai boxing sport. Maybe at lunch I could introduce you to the team? It'd be fun, and we could show you some of what we do!"
Eunseung paused a second for any more of her words to be said, but none came. She just stood, smiling, waiting for her reply with hopeful does eyes. "Sure," Eunseung finally smiled. The girl was about her height, and quite slim, but under the uniform that she wore primly, Eunseung could see that she was, in fact, quite athletic. Captain of the Muay Thai team was a surprise, but nevertheless, it intrigued her. "I'd love to."

"Alright," the girl smiled, not letting Eunseung out of her sight once the lunch bell rang. They had eaten quickly and headed to the club room, Soojin talking nonstop. "So I kinda forgot to mention that a lot of the members in the clubs—including this one—have gone over to Wild's to see the boards before they release it online. Many—oh wait, you do know about the Wild's League, right?"Eunseung nodded slowly. "Yeah, my cousin told me the basics and then some. I know that its an annual MMA competition where high schoolers from different schools are invited to participate, and the preliminaries start around spring over the span of two days."
Soojin tilted her head. "That's the driest description I've ever heard anyone say. Absolutely wow."
Eunseung chuckled. "Sorry for the lack of heart. I know its a huge thing for fighters, especially female fighters."
"That is the biggest understatement I've ever heard, more like," she snorted, typing up her hair in a high ponytail. "People would kill to get a chance to be one of the three hundred in the preliminaries."
"I see," Eunseung raised an eyebrow, remembering hearing the exact words come from Moonyoung. "So are you one of them?"
She hesitated, quiet for once. Then she shook her head. "Maybe next year. I want to get better first, both physically and mentally. I really don't do that well with crowds; I end up fumbling around and forgetting what kick is what and where to hit and when to jab... I don't know. Its my goal to be prepared for next year, though."
And she was the captain? Eunseung wondered bewilderedly. She supposed she was being unfair. She'd never seen Soojin fight, for starters.
"You said you wanted to be physically prepared, too," Eunseung curiously said, just about done with wrapping her hands. "You're already the captain here, and I can see that it wasn't easy."
"Yeah, but I still am a freshman. If I'm the Captain of this ragtag bunch at age fifteen, I want to make sure my path to crushing Wild's High girls is secure. Soon my name will be as well known as Queen's if I do well!"
Eunseung admired the fire in her eyes and the passion in her voice as she said this. She knew that even though the girl talked a lot, she would make a formidible opponent in the ring— and a good friend, if Eunseung allowed her.
She laughed good naturedly. "Well then, I'll help you come up with a stage name if you show me a few things, deal?"
Soojin blinked in surprise at her, but grinned broadly, pumping her fist in the air. "Deal!"
