*deeply sighs* New Zealand is it's own independant country. We are not part of Australia. We are 4,155 km away from Australia and there's a sea between us. We're nicknamed Kiwi's and Aussies are nicknamed Aussies. We have kiwis, (links for all curious should be in the side bar)

Also, our 'native' languages are different. We have to learn Maori as part of our school curiculum (fat lot of good that's doing. Noone even speaks it anymore, and if I said 'Kia Ora' to a French person they would probably be either really offended, or look at me blankly.) but they dont speak Maori in Australia.

the wildlife is quite different too. i mean in nz we dont have things out to kill you everywhere.

some native creatures we have here are (ill link to a site with a list)

~tuatara-harmless lizard thing

~kiwi, kereru, kea, kaka, tahake-harmless birds

~maui & hectors dolphin-harmless native dolphin species

~bats-not vampire bats

~wetas and giant wetas-protected native uglies. they bite but theyre not deadly.

~other nasty hideously disgusting things-link to everything in the side bar.

the biggest theme park in nz is rainbows end. (ill link it in the comments for all curious)

we dont have crocodiles or koalas or kangaroos or millions of spider species wanting to kill us. we have sheep, more sheep, and some more sheep.

we have dairy farms and snow and jelly tip ice cream and hokey pokey ice cream and we call flip flops jandels, not thongs.

our land mass is quite diferent to australia, for a start we are smaller.

australia's land area: 7,692,024 km²

new zealand's land area: 268,021 km²

our national rugby teams are different (nz's is better)

NZ: All Blacks (2011 RWC Winners)

AUS: Wallabies (3rd place)
