Thirty-One
I didn't tell Tina I wasn't a virgin anymore.
It had been romantic; a glowing sun God captivating a girl trapped in the dark. It hadn't been perfect, as first times never are, but it had been worth the chance to be held dear by someone I loved.
Once in a lifetime, we find someone we are willing to bare our souls to. We lay it all on the line in hope of a returned amount of affection from the other person.
It takes time; the process of finding someone with spearmint kisses and a glowing ember of a heart is a process, not a destination.
There is peace in love, and there is also war. There is friendship in love, and also unrest.
This is what I said, and meant.
