Chapter One
"So," Shiro started, smiling once he saw his team group up. They agreed to meet in the square when the town hall bell rang. "What did you guys find out? Hunk?"
Hunk was eating an unknown fruit, widening his eyes in surprise when called on first. "Oh," startled. "I talked to the fruit stand lady," he said, swallowing. "She recommended the town witch, which," he laughed for moment before turned solemn. "Sounds absolutely terrifying. So, I vote no."
"That's the info I got," Shiro shared. "Apparently everyone knows her. Keith?"
Keith looked up, arms crossed and a bored look on his face. He had been up all night cleaning the air vents after Lance burned popcorn, a horribly disastrous situation. "I talked to the priest," he said. "One, there's nothing religious about that man, and two, he also recommended the witch."
"Wait, what do you mean the priest wasn't religious?" Lance asked, clearly concerned but almost lightly laughing out of awkwardness. "What happened?"
Keith grimaced, shaking his head and moving the topic. "Pidge, what did you hear from the mayor?"
She smiled, holding up a notepad and pen. "I got directions to the witch hut." Hunk groaned.
"Alright," Shiro said, standing up straighter. "Let's go- and Keith, brighten up a little bit. This is a witch we're going to be talking to." Keith rolled his eyes.
"Alright," Shiro said, standing up straighter. "Let's go then." They all straightened, Lance stretching. "And, Keith, lighten up a bit. We don't want to come off as threatening. Any wrong move with a witch-"
Keith rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I got it." Shiro nodded.
"This way," Pidge directed, pointing to the woods. "There should be a small path somewhere over there."

Standing with his hands on his hips, Lance looked over at the caved in shack. "Are you sure this is it?" He asked warily. "I don't think anyone would want to live here."
Pidge flinched at the sight of the mess, giving it a disgusted look. "Yeah..." she confirmed. "That's it..."
"I'll go in first," Shiro stated, stepping forward hesitantly. He knocked on a board covering a small entrance.
"I'm going to knock," Shiro announced, stepping forward and knocking on the board hanging over what he assumed to be the entrance.
Hunk walked out of the woods, from the path they made to the small clearing. "Oh, god," he said, heaving and covering his nose. "It smells."
Keith nodded, clearing his throat and looking to the ground. He didn't want to go in there, it gave him bad vibes.
A raspy voice answered, much louder than they expected. "Come in," it breathed. "The door is open."
A loud raspy voice came from the shack, from the dark, and sent chills down Keith's spine. He swallowed hard and tried to hide his wavering expression. "Come in, paladins," it almost shrieked. "Step inside..."
Shiro turned around to face the team, eyes wide. "What do I do?" He mouthed. Pidge shooed him, gesturing to go in. He shook his head, fear in his eyes. She rolled her own eyes and moved forward, pushing past Shiro and crouching in. Shiro grimaced as she disappeared into the dark, and turned back. "I guess, I'll go in next?"
Keith nodded. "Okay," he said, voice shaky. He coughed. "I'll wait out here, maybe-"
"We're all going in," Lance stated, smiling at Keith. He knew the smile would make him cave. "Come on."
