After what felt like hours of struggling she gave in and fell to the ground, she almost instantly passed out.
When she woke up she noticed that she was out in a field, she didn't know what type but she knew it was a field. She looked at her surroundings they seemed different from what she was used to. On her right was the forest but it looked different. On her left were rows upon rows of houses in the distance.
She looked down at her clothes, she had somehow changed clothes in the time span she was passed out. Her clothes looked worn out, she had a huge purple hoodie on and some black tight jeans. She also noticed that her hair had fully fell out of her bun or at this time someone could have taken it out she really had no clue.
She tried to stand up and her legs were surprisingly strong. She wanted to explore the new world ahead of her but she still had to figure out the rest of her problems.
She turned towards the forest and she saw the hundreds of faceless that she had tried to kill but failed, they were staring at her, or rather the world behind her.
She turned around not wanting to stare at her failed attempt any longer. She started to walk the other way but as soon as she took a step too close to the city that she was walking to, she felt someone pull her all the way back to where she had woken up. She turned and saw a faceless creature crawling back into the shadows of the forest.
Her mouth dropped open, she wanted to leave but it seemed that something or someone didn't want her to. She started to walk closer to the forest and felt a barrier she realized that kept the creatures out and if she went to far they would be their to retrieve her. She wondered what would happen if she went in the forest, if the barrier would break and let the creatures through or keep her trapped also.
She wanted to test the strength of it and how the creatures would react. As she placed her hand up against the barrier something strange happened, her hand went straight threw. She then put her arm through and when that worked she tried half of her body, then she took a step forward and once again was in the forest of nightmares.
As she entered a strong force of wind came straight at her sending her flying into the depths of the forest. She landed on her arm the wrong way, but she believed that it was only sprained.
She stood up, the look of shock still on her face. Her clothes were ripped not like she really cared to begin with, but she wanted her old ones they had so many memories.
She started to walk at a fast pace wanting to get out of the forest as quickly as she could. She wanted to look back, to make sure that she wasn't being followed but she never had the chance.
A faceless dragged her across the ground, back to where the barrier was and with the other faceless.
"Ugggh leave me alone," Emily yelled, it was like she was kidnapped all over again.
For once one of them looked at her, straight into her eyes. Emily looked away she didn't ever really like looking people straight in the eye when she wanted something.
She wanted to pull her arm away from the creature but without knowing if it wanted to kill her save her or just over all tourure her, she had no clue.
"What do you want from me," Emily said with a shaky voice.
They all just looked at her in a creepy way, then they smiled. Well it could have been that they were baring their teeth but to Emily it looked more like a smile, it was like a smile her father would have made but with much more and pointy teeth.
Suddenly the creature let Emily go and she fell to the ground but she never reached it she was caught by someones arm. The person stood her up and as she looked towards them she let out a gasp.
Her father.
Her heart started to pound like a drum that someone was banging on for the fun of it. She started to walk away but before she could her father whispered in her ear.
"It's either me or them, darling," and just like that he started to walk off then stopping in front of the big tree with the metal box buried beneath it. He turned back and smiled, he knew exactly what was buried their and wheat names were on it but he wanted to see his daughter squirm.
Emily watched her father stop right where the metal box was, with her and Steph's name. She took in a deep breath and tried to stay still. She knew he wanted her to have a reaction and she was trying so hard not to have one.
It got to the point where she couldn't take it anymore she started to run straight at him, but his hand-eye coordination had gotten better and he scooped her up right in the moment when she reached him. She let out a frustrated breath and started to kick and hit, she wanted to be let go, be free.
He brought his face against hers and said "you are coming with me," he said it with so much force and anger that she was scared of what could happen if she didn't go with him.
"But there has to be something in it for me," she said, standing up to him. He had never liked people standing up to him, he had always liked being the boss.
She looked into his eyes and for once in her life she saw defeat in his eyes.
"Fine but only if you come with me," he said "I made a thing to save our world as we know it so if you come with me, then we can save the world together,"
Emily was shocked, her mouth was open and she was speechless. She knew she needed to save the world after all she had created all of the mess that stood in front of her. She took a deep breath, deep down she felt like she was making the right decision even though she may be regret once she goes with him but it just felt like a good decision to make.
