LID - Chapter 26

Jisoo's POV

I knew it! The moment I saw her, from the familiar vibe and the comfty feeling, I knew she's someone I knew. Except for the fact that she's Ms. Manoban's twin sister. I mean, Lily's twin sister... Knowing they're both Manobans. So. I've finally found her. She's Lali. Our Lali.

"What do you mean?"

She asked, confused. I just feel bad right now. I should've have known she has a reason why she left, without telling us.

"We're used to be bestfriends. The four of us... Before you left us."

Yeah, that's right. Four. But it turns out, only J-hope and I remains.

"It's J-hope, isn't?" I just nod at her. "But who's the another one?"

Believe me or not, it's...

"Jennie."

She was very bubbly when we were kids. But when Lali left, she changed.

"J-hope and I were bestfriends even before we met you guys. The same goes with the both of you and Jennie. One day, a dance contest was held in our school, and in your club, which is the dance club must choose a partner to be with for the competition. *I smiled* I remembered J-hope asking for my help looking for someone in your club. *laughs* But it turns out, only you and J-hope remains to not have a partner since none of you guys knew someone in that club. Anyways, so you ended up being partners and later on, introduced us, your friends to each other and that's when our friendship started. We've been going out together since then. From group studying, eating together in the canteen, and so on and so fourth."

Sighs. It's so sad knowing all these good things, good moments turns out to be just a memory now.

"The day you left, we're supposed to meet in the playground where we used to play hide and seek. But you didn't came. So, we got worried about you. We all decided to come to your house but no one was there. I tried asking my dad to ask  your parents about what happened to you and he told me that you went to States... For good."

That time, we were so mad. Thinking she might not consider us as her true friends. At first, I didn't believe my dad.

Because I don't want to. Lali is not like that. She would never do that! But, I can't do anything about it for it is what really happened. I cried, almost the whole night because of it. I started to hate her for what she have done to me. For what she have done for us. I mean, how could she just leave without even just a hint or something? She didn't even text nor call us!

But now, I regret it. I should've trust her. I should've at least look for good reason why you've left. How could I just believe that damn reason?! Huh, *laughs* for good? That's bullish*t!

"Since then, Jennie have been distant to us and...she forgot about us. She always makes herself busy with all the things to do and now, she became a fashion designer."

That time, all J-hope and I could think about is that, she have finally found something she loves to do and be able to do what she love. We were extremely happy for her success! How I wish Lali was there to support her too. I bet if she was here, she will annoy Jennie non-stop about it.

"About me and J-hope, we've been trying to move on and just think of being just the two of us again."

Back then, it was really not easy. Well, at least we tried. But most of the time, I really miss their laughs, and smiles because seeing those happy faces, makes me happy too. It's very contagious. J-hope too miss them so much... Especially Lali. Both of them always hang out whenever Jennie and I are both busy. They dance and dance their hearts out. They even both dreamed about having their own studio someday. Good thing, It still did happened. But...without Lali.

"I'm sorry."

I looked at her in the eyes and I can see her sincerity and...guilt?

"It's all my fault. I may not remember anything about my past but, deep inside I know you guys are someone close to my heart and with that, I'm grateful. But at the same time, I felt sorry for you guys. You've been through so much. All because of me. And now, here I am again, lying to all of you. Pretending to be someone else just to earn something important to me in return. I'm being selfish and yet here you are, helping me out not minding what you'll get into, just because of involving in this problem of mine. I'm so, so sorry. *sobs* Oh my gosh! *laughs* Why am I crying? *sobs*" I just hugged her. Aww, my baby Lali is crying.

"Don't be. It's not your fault at all. It never been yours. It's no one's fault. Okay?" *sobs*

"But-" I placed my index finger in front of her lips. Telling her to shut up.

"Shh-shhhhh-shhhhhhh! No buts. Look, everything has a reason. It's not yet the end of the world. We could still bring back our friendship." I smiled. Trying to cheer her up. Well, I hope so. Jennie might not believe me nor Lisa. But at least, we'll try.

"Lisa, can I just call you Lali? You know, the way you're used to being called before? But don't worry, I'll keep it as a secret when we're with the others!" She just smiled at me and nod.

Ah, I miss that smile! She's now turning into a grown up lady and seeing her now, just makes me feel even more happy. Who could've thought that the Lali who doesn't care about the way she looks, doesn't take a bath everyday, and doesn't have a proper hygiene would turn into such a goddess beauty! I mean, I know she's beautiful inside and out. But, come on just look at her now! I just didn't expect her to be this way. It's just... Super amazing! And unbelievable. *laughs* Just kidding.

"So, when do you think should we tell J-hope and Jennie about this? And about it, we both know for sure, they won't buy it, right? So probably, it includes the whole plan. You know, about the pretending thingy."

She seems to be not ready yet. Sighs.

"Don't worry, no pressure. Take your time. Just tell me when you're ready. I'm always free."
