Chapter 31

After hours of dancing and drinking it was time to head in for the night so I sent Eddy a text letting him know he could come get us and now we were currently dancing and waiting for Eddy to get here. Scott was still sticking around dancing and was even nice enough to buy me a couple drinks. I could definitely tell he wanted me to take him home, but that wasn't happening tonight. As I feel my cell vibrate, I look to see it's Eddy.

"Hey, he's here!" I yell over the music to the girls.

"Can I accompany you home for some more drinks?" Scott whispers in my ear but I shake my head.

"Sorry, I had fun dancing with you, but I really have to go and I have an early morning." I tell him nicely.

"What about your number?" he asks with a grin but I shake my head again.

"Sorry, I'm not looking for any new friends or relationships. Thanks again." I say with a small giggle before grabbing Annie and stumbling out of the bar with Beth and Ruby following us.

"Is it just me or did he look kind of familiar?" Annie asks me as we exit the bar.

"I thought the same thing. We must have seen him at the same place together once." I reply.

"Hey!" I hear Eddy say as I look to my side to see him running over.

"Eddy!" I cheer stumbling over to him.

As I reach him, I wrap my arms around him and hug him tightly.

"You're my best friend Eddy! Thank you for everything you do for me!" I giggle happily.

He really was a great friend. He has done so much for me in the short time I had known him and even now he comes to the rescue when I need a hand. He definitely was the best. Maybe even better than the girls? I mean I loved them and they were my family I guess it's just different really. Eddy is an amazing friend and the girls are my loving family.

"You're so drunk Lena, but thank you." he says with a chuckle as he hugs me back awkwardly.

"Thanks again Eddy, here are the keys." Beth says coming over and handing them over to him.

"No problem, you guys saved my life, I think I can get you home after drinking." he says and Beth smiles with a small nod.

"Well let's go, we still need to get some sleep before our day starts." Ruby says and me and Annie both groan.

Eddy keeps his arm around my waist as he helps me over to the van, opening the door and helping me in as the rest of the girls also get in. Right as he is about to shut the door, I catch a glimpse of none other than Scott leaving the bar. He meets my eyes but continues to walk past the van as the door shuts and Eddy gets in.

"Where too first?" he asks.

"My place." Ruby pipes up quickly.

We drop Ruby off first, then Annie before going to Beth's and parking the van.

"Here, just wait a second I will go get Dean to drop you guys off so that you don't have to get a cab." Beth says to me and Eddy.

"That's okay Beth, just let Dean sleep we can cab." I say.

"He's still awake, it's no problem, you know Dean loves you like a sister. He wouldn't mind at all." Beth insists before going inside.

Me and Eddy sit in the van and wait until Dean comes out and Eddy scoops over to the passenger side as Dean gets in.

"Who's he?" Dean asks shutting the door and looking at Eddy.

"He is my best friend." I say happily with a giggle.

"Please tell me you didn't just meet him at the bar tonight?" Dean asks with a groan.

"No Deanie, we have been friends for a little bit." I say and he nods.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Dean." Dean says to Eddy as he drives towards my new place.

"Eddy." Eddy replies introducing himself.

As we reach my apartment, I thank Dean one last time and tell him I will see him in the morning before going inside my apartment with Eddy. He takes me into my room and lays me down on my bed pulling the blanket over me.

"You can sleep on the couch or beside me, just no touching and boxers stay on." I tell him.

"I can take the couch." he replies.

"Eddy, I really don't mind if you stay in the bed, I just offered the couch in case that was uncomfortable for you." I tell him.

"No, I'm okay on the couch." he says and I nod.

"Goodnight Eddy, thank you." I say.

"Night Lena." he says making his way out the bedroom.

"Eddy wait! Do you know where my phone went?" I ask remembering I needed to set an alarm.

"I'm not sure, it's probably around here somewhere, do you need it?" he asks.

"I need to set an alarm for the morning, I have a camping trip and I haven't even packed yet." I say groaning.

"I'll find it and set it up and put it on your beside table, what time do you need it for?" he asks.

"7" I reply.

"Got it." he replies.

"Thanks." I say as he leaves and I quickly drift off into sleep.
