"mmm shhhh"

loki rolls over to check the time on his phone. it's 7:30 so it's either he gets up now and looks presentable, or he hits snooze and leaves without brushing his hair or eating breakfast.

he'd rather not pick the latter.

he pulls himself out of bed to the bathroom to do his 'morning routine' if it deserves to be called that.

he finished up and took out a frozen waffle from the freezer and put it in the toaster. since everyone else wasn't in the room he duplicated to go pack his backpack while the other made his waffles.

those 'super powers' really come in handy when you're in a rush.

he wanted to meet peter at his locker like he does every morning, so he has to get to school a little early so they're not late to first period.

he picks up his backpack, takes his waffle and walks out the door. he puts one headphone in so he can hear if someone's near him. but he chooses to listen to boom boom room side a by palaye royale.

peter is walking to the cafeteria to get a water bottle from the vending machine. he takes the long way to avoid flash and tony. he gets there and no one is there accept he sees the back of someone. they heard peter walk in so they turn around like a deer in headlights.

it's bucky barnes.

but not only bucky barnes, also steve rogers.

peter puts 2 and 2 together and realizes they were kissing. steve looks like he's about to pass out and he runs away.

"w-wait ! steve.." bucky yells after him, but he's gone.

"i-i um... i'm really sorry i- um i- "
peter stammers out, his eyes wide.

bucky turns to look at peter, but peter just stands there in pure terror. he's petrified.

bucky starts to walk toward his and peter still doesn't move, but he's shaking. they're face to face. bucky stands over peter and looks him in the eye with a straight face.

"you are so brave." bucky sighs. "you're out and you've been out for a while, i could never do that." bucky takes a step back and starts pacing. peter stands there still in shock, taken aback.

"o-oh um, thank you. you and steve dating?" peter responds.

"i really want to, he's not out either, so i'd appreciate if you didn't tell anyone about this please" bucky looks at peter.

"of course. good luck with steve, i gotta be on my way now. bye!" peter is walking backwards as he speaks and he waves.

"bye parker!" bucky shouts back.

peter is out the door and he darts down the hallway to his locker. he's still pretty shocked that there's other lgbt kids in the school, it's very comforting that there are more people like him. he doesn't feel so much like an outsider.

loki comes up from behind him and greets him.

"i'm shook"

loki giggles. "why"

"ill tell you later. i'm not supposed to tell anyone but you're my only friend and i trust you"peter says sternly.

"okay bud" loki says

the bell rings and the boys go their separate ways saying goodbye to each other, off to their first period class.

lunch came quickly and the two boys met up just outside the cafeteria.

"hey loki, can we go outside today? i really think you should know about what happened." peter says.

"um- yeah sure, is everything okay?"
loki stutters, scratching his left arm.

"yes! yes actually everything is perfect. don't worry." peter says quickly and they start towards the door to the courtyard.

they walk out the door into the chilling late october breeze. the trees are orange and students are scattered across the yard and at the picnic tables. the boys sit down at an unoccupied table away from the others.

"okay" peter starts.
"...there are other lgbt kids at the school"
he smiles.

"wait.. really? ..who?" loki whispers the 'who'.

"okay i'm going to tell you exactly what happened, but you have to promise me that you would never tell anyone else."

peter holds out his pinkie finger. loki wraps his around peters.

"pinkie swear" he smiles at peter. "now please tell me!"

"okay, okay. so this morning walked into the cafeteria to get a water and i saw somebody facing the wall and then they turn around and guess who it is?"

"who" loki asks.

"no no you gotta guess!" peter giggles.

"peter i have no idea .. um.. is it wade?"
loki says, his voice going slightly higher pitched at the end.

peter blushes slightly.

"no... try again" he says.
"peter i have no idea please tel-"
"it's bucky!" peter whisper yells.
loki sits dumbfounded at the other side of the table.
"oh my gosh really?"he's smiling but this whole thing is insane to him.

"yeah! and guess who he was KISSING!"
peter bounces a little in his seat. grinning ear to ear.

"umm i don't know pete."

"STEVE ROGERS!" peter exclaimed in the midst of his excitement. loki sat, still in awe that there are other people like them.

"woah."
he sat astonished.

"there are more people like us" loki smiles

"there sure are"peter replies.
