When the sun was just about set, I finally realized, fully realized, that I was on my own. The weight of everything that had happened almost seemed to crush me. How could I have been so stupid? They were all secretive about a week back. They were whispering and when I asked what was going on they just looked at each other.
The house was already sold, I would have to leave in a few days. As I was thinking hard about what I was supposed to do, I suddenly felt the strange sensation of someone watching me. I'd felt this before when people would look at me when I was at school or wherever, but this, this was different. It felt cold, blazing, but like ice. I could trace exactly where it came from; which I had always been able to do.
I tiptoed quietly to the edge of the window sill, cautiously peeking through the thin, brown curtains. J-just a-a g-gang of p-p-peop-ple... I tried telling myself. But, they were no ordinary people; There was one who had an angry, red scar on his face. His hair stuck up like flames;black at the very bottom, then orange and yellow. He was the least scariest. Others had mutilated faces, more than 3 of their body parts, others had full gear and armor, than the rest looked like what I imagined to be from Dimension X.
Then suddenly, one of them seemed to look straight at me. My blood froze as his eyes flashed an icy blue. "Shut up everyone! There's someone in there."
