Time soon became a nonexistent factor in Madison's mind. She had no clue how long she had been strapped to that table. She had no clue how long she had been gone for. Madison hardly had any clue about anything anymore.

Memories began to fade. But not the ones of her father and the avengers. No, the memories that were being target were the ones of her and Peter. Those were the ones that Nemesis wanted to take away first. Madison tried so hard to hold onto those memories, screaming for Peter whenever she was being shocked, or when injections would go into her arm.

Madison tried so hard to not forget the boy she cared deeply for. But she couldn't hold on. Every single day Nemesis would put her brain into a blender and try to get rid of her feelings. It was hard to do. Madison was fighting hard. But her hardest wasn't enough, and Madison soon began to forget the boy she had spent so much time with.

The girl was becoming numb. She could feel it. Madison didn't want to shut down, but Nemesis was forcing her too. With every memory of Peter that would fade, Madison felt as if a part of her heart was being chipped away. As if someone was sucking the soul from her body. Something was missing. And Madison was breaking inside as she tried to remember.

Everything else was clear, but this one boy with curly brown hair and warm brown eyes. This boy became fuzzy in her mind. He soon became a dream. Madison could once pick his voice out of a lineup. She could spot him from a mile away. She hear his beating heart and feel his arms around her as if he was hugging her. But now she couldn't even remember his name.

Peter became something fake in her mind. Nemesis made sure of that. She took away every memory of that boy away from Madison. Saying that the feelings she once had for him made her weak. Madison didn't want that; she wanted to remember who he was.

Before her memories started to slip away, Peter would be Madison's happy thought. He would be the thing that kept her going. He was the thing that kept her from giving into what Nemesis wanted. But now he was slipping away. And soon her mind started to become empty. A hole was in her brain, and it took away part of her soul.

Him fading away made it easier for Nemesis to get deeper inside Madison's head. Because memories of Peter then led to memories of Tony, and then memories of Tony led to memories of every other aspect of her life. But as soon as Nemesis knew that she had control, she stopping taking things from Madison's mind.

Instead she began to do other things to her. Such as inject her with weird fluids and preform painful experiments. At first Madison had no idea what the experiment were for. But when she felt her body changing she began to understand.

Nemesis was changing her. Enhancing her. Madison began to gain more powers. They weren't anything major. She could just connect to people now. She could feel their pain, their emotions. Nemesis had done this for the soul purpose of wanting to have Madison connected to her. She wanted complete and full control. She wanted Madison to think and act exactly how she would.

So far it hadn't been working. Madison was still fighting against it. She wasn't meaning to. But there was just something that wouldn't let the connection stick. And no one could figure out what it was.

That led to many more experiments. Day after day. Night after night. Madison wanted it to end. She wanted everything to end. She wanted to remember what was taken from her. She wanted to get rid of this new power she had. Madison wanted to just go home.

Then there was the blonde girl. The only other person, besides Nemesis, that Madison had contact with. The girl would feed Madison every single day. She always had a sad look on her face whenever she say Madison. But she never said anything to her. Until one day she did.

Madison had just had been through another agonizing experiment. She was weak and numb all over. Tears were rolling down her cheeks because of the numbing pain. And that's when the girl walked, or rather ran, into the room.

She rushed over to the table and began to unchain Madison. The younger Stark looked at the girl and with a raspy voice asked, "What are you doing?"

"Getting you out of here," the girl answered, "I made a mistake by helping her. I didn't think I had a choice, but I was wrong. I'm sorry."

Soon enough Madison was free and leaning into the blonde. Everything was spinning, but Madison was trying to think straight.

"What's your name?" Madison asked, letting out huge huffs of air.

The girl wrapped Madison's arm around her shoulders as she answered, "Bella. We don't have much time. Your family is on their way to come find you. I gave them our location. But I have to get you out of here before she gets back."

"Why?" Madison questioned, not understanding what was happening.

"Because she will kill you before she let's you go," Bella answered, her voice serious.

Bella then began to lead Madison through the winding halls of the building that they were in. Everything was dark and damp, for the building seemed to be abandoned.

Madison kept stealing glances at the girl, wonder why in the world she was helping her after all she had done.

"How long have I been here?" Madison asked as she kept limping down the hallway.

"A month," Bella replied, turning a corner.

Madison felt dizzy at the answer. She was gone for an entire month. Did people think she was dead. Had her father been looking for her this entire time. How much pain had she put her family through.

Once they fully turned the corner, Madison saw a door at the end of the hallway.

Bella started to try and walk faster, "It's right there. Now all we have to do is make it to the truck."

The younger Stark then opened her mouth to reply, but a loud gunshot caused her to topple to the ground. When she looked up she saw Bella clutching her abdomen, blood starting to pour everywhere.

The blonde looked at Madison and sank to her knees. "Run," was all the girl whispered as she collapsed on the ground, the life fading from her eyes.

Madison then looked up and saw Nemesis holding a gun, pointing it directly at Madison's head.
