You screamed, the sound tearing through the silence of the trees and sending birds scattering throughout the forest. Your head shot up to meet the eyes of the man in front of you, the man that was just the wolf laying on top of you. It couldn't be true.
"Where's the wolf, I- What happened?"
"I am the wolf, see?" The man grinned, his body changing and forming that of the wolf you had just seen a minute prior. Your mouth hung open, watching a person become a wolf was not what you had imagined your day to be like. You watched as the huge animal jumped up and down a few times like an excited puppy, bounding over to you and closing the distance between you two by pushing his large furry head into your neck. You yelped at the feeling of his cold, wet nose on your skin and squirmed backwards when you felt his tongue lave over part of your neck.
The wolf whined when you backed away from him, shifting once again back to the man who sat with a pout on his face. He seemed to be in deep thought before his face lit up and a bright smile stretched across his features.
"I forgot! I forgot, that's not how humans greet each other! Here," He leaned closer to you, and you had nowhere to go now that you were pinned against the soft fabric of the tent. He pushed his head forwards, slamming his lips onto yours and grabbing the sides of your face in his small hands. You screamed once again, into his mouth as he was still attacking your lips with his soft, plump ones. He finally broke away after a moment of your struggles, sitting back on his thighs with an adorable little grin. You would have melted had he not just kissed you against your will.
"What was that?!"
"What? I greeted you, isn't that how humans greet each other?" He tilted his head to the side and you almost laughed at how much he resembled a puppy.
"No, not unless they... unless they love each other. You have to really really love someone to kiss them like that, and both people have to want to do it."
"But... But I saw two humans, a little while ago, and they saw each other for the first time and they ran to each other and they hugged and kissed, they kissed each other like I kissed you."
"I- But.. They were obviously dating before that, people don't kiss right when they meet." You were fully aware that some people did, but you didn't want to give Jimin any exceptions.
"Oh. Well, can I date you? I want to kiss you like that all the time!"
"I don't even know your name!" You were on the verge of tears, some strange man who was also a wolf was sleeping in your tent, on top of you, and he kissed you against your will, and now he wanted to date you.
"Oh! I'm Jimin, Park Jimin. What's your name?"
"I'm not telling you my name, are you crazy?! You barged into my tent, as a wolf, slept on top of me, kissed me against my will, and you want me to trust you with my name? No way!"
"No no no! You have to tell me your name, you have to, you have to! Please, please, I'm sorry about breaking in, and I'm sorry I kissed you, I just thought that's how humans greeted each other! And I had to come in, you smelled so good, you smelled like the perfect mate!" He surged forwards, gripping your shoulders and shaking you lightly. You ignored the warmth of his hands on your skin and shook him off.
"Wha-Mate?"
He nodded proudly, "Yep!"
"What's that even mean?"
"You're my mate, it means that I love you, and that you'll love me too! Once you get to know me, of course. But wolves are destined to have one mate and one mate only for their entire lives, and you're mine!" He was rambling on and on, but you tuned it out, something about a pack and meeting them, but you were lost in your head. So, you had gone for a stupid camping trip. You had set up your tent in the middle of the woods, instead of staying with your friends, and now you were stuck with some crazy, half human, half wolf man who said you were his 'mate'.
"-But anyways, what's your name?!" You snapped back to reality, shaking your head slightly as you did.
"Uhm, Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N. Look, I don't know much about wolves and mates, but it's really hard to believe that you're 'destined' to be with me, I think you're just crazy." You glared at the man in front of you who's face fell.
"No! I swear, I promise, it's real! I, I don't know how I can prove it, I can't prove it, but please, you have to believe me! I just found you, there's no way I'm letting you go now!"
You were about to protest but you heard a thumping sound, thundering footsteps from much more than one person. You thought it was your friends for a moment, but there were too many to just be four people, and the growls that ripped through the air sent fear flying through your heart.
The sounds only made Jimin's tail wag, his tail. He had a tail. You would have scoffed but you were too terrified of the sound growing louder and louder. You shrunk as far as was possible into the fabric of the tent behind you but it was no use as claws ripped through your tent cloth, ignoring the zipper positioned just left of the marks. You screamed, the sound making Jimin whine and press himself into you. You didn't protest, clinging onto his arm and squeezing your eyes shut as he buried his face in your hair. You peeked an eye open to see six wolves, all but one larger than Jimin, snarls on their faces and breathing heavily, glares directed towards you. Jimin lunged forwards, turning into a wolf himself and joining the rest, nuzzling his face against the smaller one and tail beating against one of the others.
You found yourself wishing, for once, that Jimin was still pressed into you, protecting you from the pack of very angry wolves, but he transformed back quickly, grabbing your hand and dragging you out into the center of the tent. You wiggled in his hand, trying to conform to the wall of the tent once more but he held you in place tightly.
"Y/N, this is my pack! I'll tell you their names when they're in human form, because it's too confusing now. Guys, this is Y/N! Guess what? They're my mate!"
