You and your group of friends thought nothing of the woods at night, many a camping trip having taken place there. You also thought nothing of playing a friendly game of truth or dare, but you should have known better than to take dare when around your friends. When you were dared to set up your tent across the forest from everyone else, in a eerily placed clearing, that's maybe where you should have stopped.

But you didn't. Instead, you set up camp, utterly alone.

You tried to ignore the sounds of the forest, the occasional call of a bird or the rustling of what you hoped was just the wind through the leaves. You eventually fell asleep, willing yourself to block out the sounds of nature, the sounds of wild animals that could probably hurt you pretty bad if they wanted to.

Jimin relished in the way that the wind blew against him as he ran through the forest, having separated from the rest of his pack to go and find something to eat. Rather than hunting as a pack, they each separated, got their own prey, and brought it back to share with the others. It meant more food for everyone and also that each wolf in the pack knew how to hunt well, not just a few that were constantly shoved into the position.

It worked better for the dynamic of their pack and Jimin was glad that he was learning more about hunting. He bounded through the clearing ahead, nearly skidding to a halt at the intoxicating smell that came from his side. He turned, spotting a small tent, what he had learned was a human contraption for when they wanted to sleep in the forest. Why they couldn't just curl up in a pile of leaves was beyond Jimin, but he wasn't human, so he'd never understand.

He stalked closer to the fabric tent, greedily taking in as much of the amazing scent as he could as he approached. He finally reached the tent, transforming back into a human only to open the zipper of the tent, step inside, then close it, and then shifting back into his wolf form.

There was a human laying inside, hair messily sprawled out around their head and pajamas slightly wrinkled and bunched at the tummy so that a tiny sliver of skin was showing. Jimin spied another human invention that he didn't understand, a sack of sorts that they slept in. The human was tucked into it, the zipper slightly unzipped. He had no idea why humans wanted to sleep in bags, as they didn't seem warm at all, but he knew that the poor creatures couldn't transform into a wolf to keep warm. He supposed that they had to take whatever they could get.

He stepped further into the tent, cautiously approaching the snoozing human as he followed his nose. The scent was clearly coming off of them, that was for sure. He had met his fair share of humans before, but none of them had ever had this sort of a smell, one that made his head fuzzy and his heart warm.

He began at the humans hand, lowering his snout to brush over their wrist before slowly making his way up their arm and to their face. His instincts told him to nuzzle into their neck, so he did for a moment, snuffling around at the soft skin. It was the area that smelled the best, the scent highest at the side of the neck. He had the urge to sink his canines into the soft flesh of the humans neck but nearly jumped back at the thought, marking a human?

But the smell could only mean one thing. Jimin had heard of wolves having human mates before, but he never thought that he himself would have one. He lowered his rear to the floor of the tent, bending down again to sniff at the humans face. He nuzzled at their cheek, the tip of his nose bumping into theirs as he did. This made the human stir. Jimin waited for a moment, letting them settle back into sleep before moving onto their chest. He gently placed his paws on either side of the human, lowering himself to rest on their torso with his head tucked into their neck. He felt himself calm at their scent, letting himself drift off to sleep on top of his human, his mate, his human mate.

You didn't remember sleeping bags being this warm. Or heavy, for that matter. But you stirred to a wonderful warmth on your chest where a weight was pressing down onto you. Somewhere in your brain, an alarm went off, one saying that sleeping bags were, in fact, not warm at all, and not heavy in the slightest, but it felt so good, and you didn't want to get up. It was only at the sound of breathing in the tent, that was definitely not yours, that your eyes flew open wide and you looked down at your chest.

It took everything in you not to scream. There was a wolf on your chest, a huge wolf sleeping on you. The flaps of the tent were still zipped shut, how the hell did a wolf get in? Tears brewed in your eyes and you tried not to breathe so hard, the last thing you wanted was for the wolf to wake up and attack you. You had always thought wolves were beautiful, but seeing one this big in person had fear pounding in your chest instead of awe. One of your tears slid down your cheek and dripped into the wolf's fur, right in the middle of its snout and more slid out of your eyes as the wolf yawned, eyes fluttering open to reveal amber irises. The wolf stood, revealing himself as a he, and you could only stare wide eyed in fear as he looked down at you. He whined, dipping his head down to nose at the tear tracks on your face but you weren't ready for the sudden movement towards your face and a small scream echoed through the woods.

"Please don't hurt me!" You slid out from under the animal, backing up into the corner of the tent and tucking your head into your knees, covering your neck with your hands. You heard a rustling noise but didn't dare to look up. But it was when the voice came from in front of you, that you realized maybe you weren't dealing with just any normal wolf.

"I won't, I swear!"
