"Jimin, I can't do this."

"What?" His worried eyes bored into yours as you tried to calm yourself.

"Listen, this all sounds pretty ridiculous. And you've tried to prove things to me but you're asking too much. I'm ignoring my friends, leaving them worried for my life, quite basically keeping me hostage here. I'm not putting up with this. I'm leaving, now."

"No! You can't! I'm sorry, really I am! You can call your friends, just tell them that you went home because of your headache! But you can't leave, you don't understand!"

You scoffed, shaking your head, "this is my point. I'd have to lie to my friends, they don't deserve that. You're not off to a good start. I should never have even played along with this stupid scheme, but I'm done with it. My friends are already at the police station, but I'll call them off if you let me go quietly."

Jimin started to protest again but Namjoon cut him off.

"Y/N... I'm sorry. Don't torture Jimin because of what just happened between us. Please don't tell your friends about us. Jimin's mated to you, he can't help the attraction. He really does need you. He's not experienced much in self control per se, but please, bare with him. He's learning. It's gonna be torture on you too, your chest will start to feel like it's being ripped out. It's just how mates work. And I know humans do things differently, I know. But please, try to work things out."

"Y/N, we can take things slow, I promise! We were gonna let you go home tomorrow, it's just hard the first night. We can go see a movie, or go get dinner. We don't have to stay here. And we can stay at your house tonight if it makes you feel comfortable. I promise, I'll do whatever it takes, I know I haven't started off great and for that I'm so sorry. Just please, don't give up on me."

Your phone was still tightly clutched in your hand as you stared at the ground. You chewed the inside of your cheek, mulling the situation over.

"A movie and dinner. We're not sleeping together, sexual or not. That's moving too fast. I'm sure nothing bad will happen if we stay in separate houses tonight. You have one try, don't mess it up."

You opened your phone, ignoring Jimin's countless 'thank you!'s and messaging your friends quickly.

"Guys, so sorry for not answering, I was asleep. My migraine got so much worse, I'm at home rn. I had to leave, I paid for an Uber from the nearest convenience store. It was really bad, I was gonna stop by and tell you but it was so painful. I'm sleeping now, please don't freak out anymore. And please don't stop by, any little noise or light hurts my head so bad."

You hit send, tucking the phone back into your pocket. You felt the replies come in, ignoring them as you trudged back to Jimin's room. You packed up your stuff, slinging your backpack over your back and clutching the sleeping bag in your hand. Jimin tried to take your bags from you but you waved him off, jogging down the stairs. The pup that had become attached to you when you came in greeted you at the bottom of the stairs, waving excitedly. You gave him a weak smile, apologizing when he held up his arms for you to hold him.

"I can't right now, sorry. I'm leaving for the day."

His face became a picturesque pout, lip puffing out and ears drooping. He toddled towards you, small hands fisting parts of your jeans in a tight grip. He laid his head on your thigh, letting his arms wrap around your leg as he hugged you. You sighed, giving in and bending down, lifting him into your arms. He let the smallest of smiles grace his face before laying his head on your shoulder, hands coming to play with your necklace again.

You smoothed down his hair, noting how the smoothness of his fur was transferred over into his human hair dna. It was a silky black, completely soft to the touch.

"Junsu, are you bothering the new person?" A tall man came from a room down the hall, one eyebrow quirking up at the child.

"Nuh-uh!"

"I don't trust you." He smiled at you and apologized for the child.

"It's okay, it's not a bother."

"He's my son by the way. I'm Wonwoo. My husband Mingyu is in the kitchen finishing dinner, are you staying?"

"No, she's going out for dinner with me." Jimin placed a hand on your shoulder, checking to see if you were uncomfortable with the contact before he left it there.

"Oh, okay. Well, come by again soon, Junsu seems to like you. And so does Jimin." He stage whispered the last part, winking at you when you smiled.

Jimin scoffed, though shooting a smile at the man. Wonwoo held his arms out for his son and Junsu reluctantly let go of you.

"Please come back soon! I want to show you all my toys!" Junsu spoke for the first time since you'd been there, somewhat shocking you but making you break out into a smile nonetheless.

"I will, I'm sure you have a lot of toys, huh?"

He nodded, ears perked up and grin wide.

"Okay, well let's get going. What movie should we see?" Jimin asked, sliding a beanie over his fluffy ears and tucking his tail into his pants.

"Doesn't matter to me. Let's just decide when we get there. Should we do dinner first?"

"Sure."

You stepped out of the house, Jimin leading you to a truck parked in the back.

"Here, give me the address of where you want to go for dinner, you can decide."
