Prologue

What makes me different from everyone in my school is I don't really talk. Despite my outside appearance, they still see me as the loser of the school. I choose not to talk in school, and most of the teachers are okay with it. Some of them, well the look at me as weird too. When the student is saying some horrible things, in my perspective dumb, they turn a blind eye to it. Sometimes that is the problem with the school systems. Instead of actually trying to help the defenseless, they are more focused on who is wearing what, and if the said clothing is appropriate.

At my age, 17, I live by myself in some amazing apartments. My parents gave me a choice of whether I wanted to continue to live with them or live by myself. The apartment is in my father's name, but I live here. The only thing I really have to do is keep up on the bills, and they will pay the rent. My rent money is really coming out of my account that my dad's grandpa left me. My great-grandpa was amazing when he was alive, and I never took it for granted. The place I live in, we both picked out when I was 14. At 16, my dad signed the lease and handed me the keys.

I am an introvert, and people think it is weird, but to me, it's a way of life. Outside of my introvert lifestyle, I race. As illegal as it is, I love it.

Chapter 1
Khari Combs

I woke up to the sounds of purring and being headbutted by my two cats.

"You guys have to worse wake up calls ever." I groaned.

My two cats have a weird medical condition that makes their fur a marbled color. Onyx is my marbled black and white cat. Adonis is my brown and black cat. I love them, and they are just like me. Probably more hyperactive during the morning, but they just like to laze around.

This is my last year of high school, and I can't wait for it to be over with. I grabbed me off the charger, and it is 6 in the morning. I laid in bed for ten minutes reading some news articles and petting Onyx. Eventually, in those ten minutes, Adonis made his presence known as he laid on my stomach purring. After doing nothing for another five minutes, I finally go up to shower.

After my shower, my bathroom smells like old spice and lavender. I really don't feel like spending another year in this high school, but sadly I have to. The positive side of the summer did me good though. New tattoos, and a lot of weed. I decided to wear an alien tye-dye shirt, black shorts, and Travis Scott Jordan 4's.
