Rory Love POV

Man, I hate Monday's so much. Right now, it's 6:30 in the morning and I must get ready for the morning shift. Sometimes I hate this shift with a passion because these people in the morning are rushing or mad moody for no reason. I started putting on my khaki pants, vans, and my work shirt. I know my apron and name tag in the car, so I won't have to worry about that. Once I had my normal necessities in my pocket I locked my apartment up and went down to my all-black Ford Mustang GT500.

Heading to this coffee shop I work at I already hear my manager yelling at people

Heading to this coffee shop I work at I already hear my manager yelling at people. For some reason, he truly hates me even though I haven't done anything to him at all. Sometimes I just think he just needs to get laid and just smoke a little bit. I started setting up my station when there were people coming in.

My coworker James really doesn't like me for a number of reasons. One of them is because the regulars come here and only want me to make their coffee. The regulars are a bunch of women. As of this moment, there are 8 of them and they only want me to serve them. Sometimes towards the night the comeback but to my other job that I have.

Another regular came in and she is an entertainment agent.

"Good Morning Ms. Powers how are you this lovely morning." I already started making her usual with a little extra. A lot of time I add a few dashes of vanilla extract into her coffee.

"Good morning Rory and you know to call me Veronica. I woke up to a phone call from a client. Sometimes this job is stressful." Ms. Powers is 25 and a very successful agent in the entertainment business.

"I can tell don't forget to get some rest. They might be some stuck-up people, but you are the best at what you do. Just let me know whenever you need anything now." I said. She bit her bottom lip and looked me up and down. I just smiled showing off my white teeth.

"I know don't worry about me I'm a big girl." I just smirked and licked my lips. She grabbed her coffee and walked away.

"Damn Rory, please smash that before I switch teams just for her." My best friend Taj said. Taj is my gay best friend who is stuck in this hell hole with me for the morning. My other coworker James was starring at her, but I know he doesn't have a chance. He might but she hasn't given him the slightest attention.

"Rory get back to work stop flirting!" my manager yelled at me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

Ever since a few months ago my manager here has been upset with me for some reason. I was working tables and making the drinks at first but after a while, he would continue to get mad. They saw it and they always tipped me pretty well. As much as I tell them not to, they do it anyway. I don't mind though I mean it gets the bills paid and everything. More and more people started to come in and I couldn't have my regular morning conversations with the ladies as usual.

2 of the women were elementary teachers, 1 was a high school teacher, 3 are lawyers, and the last 2 are business owners. All of them are nice and beautiful. I've made friends with them all. The teachers are fine as hell and they always tell me the moms and dads be flirting with them.

Around 10 in the morning things calmed down a bit I got two more hours here before I must go to class. I've gotten into this Art and Design school which is amazing. The school also got me some connections with another school for architects called Edgewood School or Architect or ESA. There was this company that hires students from ESA, but they came to Hillview Art and Design Institute. They saw I had an amazing vision for a building that was already built. Then they gave me an internship with them, next thing you know the entire inside of this hotel was created by me. I even have some of my artwork inside of the place. The company gave me money to study at ESA while still being in Hillview. I do get money for the place, but I just give it to my parents. Don't get me wrong they both work but I put the money towards my siblings and the bills they need help with. Plus using it to pay for classes here.

[Just for the record these schools are made up... just saying ya know]

12 in the afternoon came around and I was done for the day working here. I went to the back and clocked out but then my manager came back there.

"I need you to work a little longer." He asked me.

"Sorry, but I can't stay any longer Aaron. I do have classes and I need to be there. Have someone else stay." I said walking passed him.

"I'm the boss and I said to stay longer," Aaron yelled. He was getting red in the face. Sometimes I can't stand how people like to have power over other people but hey this is how this country started off as.

"And I said I can't. End of discussion." I pulled my car keys out and walked out the door. Taj was already inside waiting on me.

Once I got in the car I sighed and ran my hands through my curly hair. I think its time to trim it. It's getting too long but the shrinkage is so real.

"Let me guess he wanted you to stay longer." Taj laughed.

"Not funny but yeah. I swear he needs to get laid, I can't help it that the women that come in only wants me and giving him no play. I mean not in that way, but I think Ms. Powers do though." I said. I started my car up and drove off from the coffee shop. Heading back to my place I wanted to shower and get out of the coffee smelling clothes.

My apartment is amazing. I like the dark concrete concept of the place plus I have a balcony outside my room. I like it the lights dim in here it's less harsh to the eyes. It costs some money to live here but I love it.

"I need a place like this. I could just see my man walking around here in a white towel wrapped around his waist dripping wet from the shower." I just Taj off

"Cuse' me but I don't need that vivid image like that man. Just be happy ya first image of that was me." I laughed. One day he caught me doing exactly what he is saying expect I had on a black sports bra.

I went into my room and just changed into some gray shorts, a white shirt with a gray distressed Metallica hat and my checkered vans. I grabbed the military-styled bag that I got from my older brother and headed back to the living room. Still smelling like coffee, I really didn't care about it. It was really my natural smell just it's more defined after I leave work from there. We left my place and headed to Hillview.
