seokjin remembered back when they were entering middle school. yeseul's mom told him yeseul couldn't go to school that day because she was feeling sick.

seokjin wondered why she was feeling sick right before school was starting. he was upset that his best friend couldn't be there on the first day of school.

after the first day of middle school, seokjin went to yeseul's house to tell her how much he missed her. that day he knew yeseul was very sick.

when yeseul came back to school, seokjin was alone during break time. seokjin brought her bread from the school's cafeteria but she got mad and threw the bread back at seokjin.

"i told you i don't want it!"

yeseul was different after that, she wasn't the fun and active yeseul anymore but it didn't bother seokjin.

when they entered high school, it was a mess. some kids would make fun of her for not eating, and seokjin would spend a lot of time in the teachers' office, for beating up kids.

he only beaten them up because they were messing with yeseul.

seokjin met namjoon on the third year of high school, the three of them started hanging out and that was the year namjoon noticed something was wrong.

"uh, do you notice that yeseul doesn't eat? is she on one of those idol diets?"

he asked.

"huh? i didn't notice that."

seokjin shrugged.

they were sitting on a bench near the school pond, waiting for yeseul to arrive.

"how could you not notice? when we went to eat hot pot all she did was sit there. remember that?"

namjoon said.

"she's allergic to hot pot."

seokjin looked down at the pond and played with his fingers. shifting his sight from side to side, waiting for yeseul to come out.

"that's impossible-"

seokjin cut him off.

"yeseul doesn't like food."

"what?"

namjoon weirdly looked at him and closed the book he was reading.

"she has an eating disorder,"

seokjin looked at him with dull eyes.

"she doesn't like to talk about it, but she's cool when she's around food."

"since when did you know this?"

seokjin didn't reply.
