When I first saw her, she really didn't caught my attention. I passed by her on my way to meet the other members of F4, and I thought 'Oh, they were able to get a cute Shan Cai.' That was all there is to our first physical meet-up.
Oh, how time flew by. We have now done two shows together, and our relationship remains to be strong.
I am actually about to meet her today. I promised her I will take her out on a treat once I finished filming. We planned to meet at a park near a mall so that we can stroll around and eat at the same time. No malice, just a friendly date. Or that's what we cleared it to be.
Shen Yue clearly has been more than a friend to me. When did that happen? I do not know.
I just found that I cannot take my eyes off of her that one Happy Camp guesting. She looked so beautiful that day. And I have no idea why, but I got nervous when she smiled at me. I couldn't help myself then, I told her that she looks really angelic, but she punched my arm and told me not lie. I insisted that I was telling the truth but she wasn't buying it. All throughout that mini argument she was smiling to me, and my heart was melting. I thought it was just her outfit that made my heart flutter, so I chose to ignore it after.
And that one late night, around midnight, I got a call from her. I was quite shocked beause although we do chat, we never talk on the phone. It was the first time, and it's a midnight call.
The funny thing is, when I asked her why she called she told me she just realized my surname Wang (王) is equivalent to one plus one. I didn't get it at first, but she explained to me thoroughly that when you write 一，十，一 vertically it will look like 王.

I couldn't stop laughing at her witty but very corny joke. She said sorry for disturbing my sleep afterwards. But I didn't really mind it. I guess it was around that time that I realized, she's special to me.
I know for a fact though, that she is not the type to prioritize her love life over her career, so I stayed quiet about my feelings but I never fail in showing it to her. I may not be able to speak it, but I hoped my actions will be able to send her the message that my heart is screaming.
I told myself, when it comes out from my mouth, it comes out. I will not plan about it or do anything. I just want it to come naturally.
I was deep in thought when I suddenly saw her walking towards me who was seated at one of the bench parks.
You know how they say slow motions happen when you see the love of your life? I do not believe in those. But it somehow happened as I watch her in a plain white T-shirt and blue jeans walk in my direction. Her short hair bouncing with her every step. She was still a little far but I can already see her smile. That made me smile, too.
As soon as she was in front of me, I noticed she wasn't wearing anythng on her face. It was her bare face. I suddenly felt so happy knowing that she can comfortably be with me without any make up.
"You look especially beautiful today, Yue." I told her.
"Is that because you haven't seen me in a while?" She asked.
"It's because of the special filter in my eyes that only takes effect on you." I answered. I don't know where that came from but her aura today just kills me.
"What?" She asked, confused. "That must be hunger taking over you, Di. Come on, you're going to treat me, right?"
"I said I'm going to if it's hotpot." I looked at her and smiled like a kid.
"I know, I know. Hurry now, I'm hungry." She dragged me towards one of the restaurants.
I wasn't really able to order anything, I told her to do the honors because I can't seem to focus. I kept staring at her. I know she notices it, too. I'm trying not to but I can't help myself. It's like my eyes are glued to her.
"If stares could kill, Dylan, I'd probably be dead." She told me.
That brought me back to my senses. "Don't worry, I won't let that happen."
"So how was filming?" She asked, ignoring my comment.
"It was a huge challenge but I'm glad I survived."
"Tell me more about it."
"I tell you almost everything when we chat everyday. I think I got no stories untold left."
"Tell me again, I want to hear it from you in personal." She said smiling. "How about your castmates? You all seem really close, too."
"Yes, I've become close to them during the shooting period. But nothing can compare to our relationship."
"What do you mean?"
What is happening to me right now? My tongue keeps slipping!
"Oh, you know. I just think the friendship we built is so strong." I answered.
"I agree. You've become one of the closest guy friend I have."
"Is that all there is?" What the hell, Dylan. When will your mouth stop?
"What do you mean, Dylan? You're really a bit strange today."
Yes, Dylan. You are strange. Get a hold of yourself.
But I couldn't stop myself, it's the first time I've seen after a few months. And I guess that made me realize that I don't want to spend my life without her anymore.
I gathered all the courage I could and took a deep breath. "Yue, do you think there is a chance for us to be together?"
I could see that she was surprised about my question. She wasn't able to speak for a minute and I am damn nervous as I wonder if I made a mistake of asking her today.
I was already making up excuses in my head when she suddenly answered. "Nothing is impossible, Dylan."
My heart literally wanted to jump out of my chest. "Wait, Yue. Does that mean yes?"
"If there is a chance? There always is." She smiled at me.
I reached out to hold her hand. "Then, is it safe to ask this question?" She was looking at me, waiting for my next words. "Can I court you?"
"Took you long enough." She answered.
"What?" I didn't get what she said.
"That means yes, Dylan. You fool."
I held both her hands and raised then like she was some kind of champion. "You don't know how happy this makes me, Yue. Loving you was the easiest thing I've ever done, it came out naturally. Holding it back was the hard one. But now I'll make sure to work my hardest in order to keep you forever."

Note: This song has been on my mind since late March. It's been on my phone for a few years now, but I only heard it again that one March night as I was on my way home. I already planned on making a one-shot inspired by it but I wasn't able to until now.
