As soon as the three of them touch the ground a volley of orange bolts were fired his way. He put up his barrier just in time as the bolts bounced off.
Arf: Fate, we're going to retreat! Step away!
The wolf fires another volley of bolts while Fate took this chance to fly straight to the Jewel Seed. Before the bolts came in contact with the ground, Nanoha and Chrono had managed to move away from the area. This was the chance she had been waiting for but just as it was in reach, she felt pain surge through her as she realized that she had been assaulted by the boy's magic. Bolts of blue colored magic rammed into her, knocking her down as a result. She didn't have the strength to scream as the bolts knocked the wind out of her.
Arf: Fate!
Nanoha: Fate-chan!
Suddenly she felt a strong gust of wind came from behind her and in the form of a blue blur. It was much faster than Arf could reach Fate. When the blur collided with Fate, the blur revealed to be Novena with a surprised Fate in his arms and in another new attire.

Fate was rather awe struck at how quick he was but most surprising is that he had saved her from the fall. Not only that, after setting her on the ground, he held on to her protectively with his right arm while aiming his now larger cannon at the boy, the charging sound of the first loop is heard. Fate blush madly at the sudden skin contact of the boy but the way he protectively held on to her made her felt like she was safe nothing would ever come to harm her.
Yuuno: Novena stop, that's the TSAB!
Yuuno cried as he ran up to him. But then he saw that his eyes are glowing and he had a very bad feeling about it.
Arf: Fate! You... thank you for saving her. But why?
Novena hands Fate to her familiar while still standing in front of them protectively.
