The Adventures of Lily Luna Potter

Chapter VII

Lily And Hugo ran to the broom cabinet to get their brooms as their fathers trailed behind them. "I choose the Nimbus 3001!" Lily declared which made Hugo pout a little. "You can take the other Nimbus 3000!" Lily exclaimed as she tried to cheer Hugo up. "Okay!" Hugo said quickly forgetting about which broom he wanted. Ron and Harry finally caught up to their children and chose a broom each. "Can I show you the tricks I learned while you were at work?" Lily asked her father.

Harry smiled and nodded. Lily got onto the broom and tapped on the ground which made her fly high. "Don't go too high Lily!" Harry shouted out loud so that Lily would be able to hear him. "Okay, Daddy!" She shouted back. Lily was able to glide gracefully through the air and she looked like a grown woman. "That was amazing Lily!" the boys exclaimed when Lily got back down on the ground. "Thank you," Lily said grinning from ear to ear. Hugo and Lily spent the rest of the afternoon learning how to properly fly a broomstick with the help of their fathers.

Hugo and Lily were so invested in learning how to fly properly that they didn't even hear their mums come up behind them. Harry and Ron greeted their respective wives. Lily and Hugo were inspecting the Nimbus 3001 as they spoke about how they could improve the broom.

Ginny crept up behind Lily and covered her eyes while Hermione did the same with Hugo. "Guess who?" They both whispered together. "Mum!" both the children chorused as they took their mum's hands off of their eyes and hugged them tightly. "Okay let's go back grandma has made lunch and I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry," Ron said which made everyone roll their eyes.

"When aren't you hungry Ronald!?" Hermione teased Ron which made the rest of them laugh and agree while Ron pouted and stomped his way to the burrow as the rest of them continued to laugh at his antics but follow him nonetheless ."Lily, Harry oh what a lovely surprise!" Molly exclaimed as she hugged them."Oh, Lily, you look so thin! I know just the solution for that! Come on you can have a nice meal from Grandma's house and you will be back to normal!" she said as she pulled Lily towards the dinner table. "Oh, what are you all waiting for!? Sit down!" Molly said to the rest who were just standing and looking at the huge amounts of food that were on the table.

Harry, Ginny And Lily had finished eating dinner and were sitting in the living room when Harry noticed Lily yawn. "Lilypad, I think it's time for bed," Ginny said softly as she put a bit of hair that had fallen onto Lily's face behind her ear. Lily nodded and looked at Harry "Could you put me to bed Daddy?" Lily asked Harry shyly which made him smile and nod. Lily got into her bed and pulled the covers over herself. Harry sat down near Lily and handed her her pink pygmy puff. "Can you lay down next to me Daddy?" Lily asked Harry pleadingly. "I'd love to" Harry agreed as he knew that he wouldn't be able to say no to her. Harry laid down near Lily as she hugged him and he held onto her tightly. "I had a lot of fun today" Lily announced."So did I " Harry said as he smiled recalling the events that had taken place during the day.

"I love you Daddy "Lily whispered after a little while as Harry's strong heartbeat slowly lulled her to sleep."I love you too Lilypad" Harry whispered softly as he kissed the top of Lily's head as he felt his eyes close.

Quite some time had passed since Harry had gone to put Lily to bed and Ginny was feeling very tired so she to go upstairs to check on them. Ginny's heart melted at the sight before her. Harry was holding Lily as if she were a baby and Lily had snuggled into her father's chest. Ginny kissed both their heads and pulled the blanket onto their body before she left the room, as she decided that she didn't want to move Harry since he looked very comfortable.
