Weeks went by and Tony made me my new jaw! I just can't talk...ish. I went through a surgery where my voice box was swapped with some sort of computer. Alex showed me how to use the USB port that's connected to the computer in my throat, I can also download different sounds from my new laptop to my voice box. The three of my top teeth that were missing were also replaced. Before the surgery, I engraved a letter into each of them: S - For Steve; B - For Bucky; and A - For Alex, the three most important people in my life. Even though two of the three were dead...
I my sleep started to get shorter, up until I only went to sleep every three nights. I was never tired though, I was used to it. I was also forced to change my appearance. I wanted to look something out of the ordinary.
(Two years later...)
"Are you still wearing that ribbon?" Alex asked me one morning, motioning towards the ribbon on my neck. "Yeah, you know I can never get rid of it. You know what it means to me, the jumper too." Stroking the jumper I had on most days.
He sighed, "It's been 69 years, you have to let them go. They're dead, gone! And they're not coming back!" He yelled, getting pissed off with my old habits.
"I promised them, and you, that when you went off to war, I'd never forget you! Any of you!" I yelled back, running off to my room.My room was decorated with different shades of green, purple, red, and black. Half an hour later, my three friends: Phil Coulson; Natasha Romanoff; and Clint Barton popped their head 'round the door. "Hey kid, how are you?" Clint asked gently, Nat rubbing circles into my back.
"Alex told me to forget Steve and Bucky." I sniffled, wiping my nose on my scarlet hankie.
"Well, we have a surprise for you." Nat said, Phil looked as if he was going to burst.
"What's up Phil?" I asked. He was going to say something, but Nat interrupted him.
"Like I said, there's a surprise waiting for you in New York."We were currently in DC, they wanted me to get away from my time in Brooklyn and New York, so Fury had me brought here. Talking of Fury, he was on the quinnjet. "If I tell you, you promise to stay calm and do as I say?"
"Yes director Fury."
"Now, you'll only be on call. But you'll be meeting an old friend..." He started. An old friend? The only old friend I have is Peggy, I go to see her every couple of days. In total, I only have... 5 friends, not including Alex. I still hate him. They include: Peggy; Phil; Nat; Clint; and Sam Wilson from the Veterans Affairs. We meet up to go for our daily run. He's fun. Stupid, but fun.Apparently the 'old friend' escaped. And now, I have to be the one to calm him down, as Alex is on a completely different mission. They showed me a picture of my 'old friend' and, yeah, he was a very old friend indeed. I even cried! I haven't cried since my birthday in Coney Island. It was Steve. My friend, Steve Rogers. There was one way to calm Steve down, and that was to sing the special song I wrote for him.
"You've got the words to change a nation,
but you're biting your tongue.
You've spent a lifetime stuck in silence,
afraid you'll say something wrong.
If no-one ever hears it,
how we gonna lean your song?
So come on, come on,
come on, come on.You've got a heart as loud as loins,
so why let your voice be tamed?
Baby, we're a little different,
there's no need to be ashamed.
You've got the light to fight the shadows,
so stop hiding it away!
Come on, come on!I wanna sing!
I wanna shout!
I wanna scream 'till the words dry out.
So put it in all of the papers,
I'm not afraid.
They can read all about it,
read all about it!Oh-oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh.At night we're waking all the neighbours while we sing away the blues,
making sure that we remember.
Yeah, 'cause we all matter too.
If the truth has been forbidden,
then we're braking all the rules.
So come on, come on,
come on, come on.
Let's get the TV and the radio to play our tune again,
it's 'bout time we got some airplay of our version of events. There's no need to be afraid,
I will sing with you, my friend!
Come on, come on!
I wanna sing! I wanna shout!
I wanna scream 'till the words dry out!
So put it in all of the papers, I'm not afraid.
They can read all about it, read all about it!Oh-oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh,
oh-oh-oh!Yeah, we're all wonderful,
wonderful, people.
So when did we, all get so fearful?
Now we're finally, finding our voices.
So take a chance, come help me sing this!
Yeah, we're all wonderful,
wonderful, people.
So when did we, all get so fearful?
Now we're finally, finding our voices.
So take a chance, come help me sing this!I wanna sing! I wanna shout!
I wanna sing 'till the words dry out!

Read all about it, ooohhh! After that, I avoided him until one day. I was just coming out of the shower when I reached for my jumper and ribbon, but they weren't there! "ALEX! CLINT!" I shouted. I grabbed my green dress and rushed out. I found Clint in the kitchen with Nat. "Guys, do you know where my jumper and my ribbon is? I can't find either of them."
"Where did you have them last?" Clint asked.
"I folded them on my shelf, when I reached out for them after my shower, they were gone!" I broke out into sobs. "Hey hun," Nat said smiling at me, a sad and worried look in her eye. She must remember the last time they went missing. It was a few months after I first joined S.H.I.E.L.D and when I came back from my morning run with Sam, they were gone. Alex told Nat and Clint what they meant to me and Clint gave them back. I didn't talk to him for a few months. Yes, that extreme.
