I grabbed the plums from the fruit bowl and sat on the window seat, looking out at the streets of Brooklyn. It's changed so much since the 30's - 40's, so much it's hardly recognisable. I kept on looking out until I saw a small rectangle of a photo underneath the sofa.
I grabbed the photo and saw the ever loving face of Bucky. "Why did you have to motherfucking die on me Bucky!?" I cried. "You had to go and copy me?! You should have known that was a stupid ass idea!" I kept on rambling and rambling on about how I really should have died and Bucky could be the one in my place. The happy trio they were before I came along with my huge burden.
I shut up and froze when I heard a very teary voice coming from behind me, "Cerrie?! You're alive?" It was Steve, on the verge of tears and his lip quivering. Shit, I've screwed up now. I used my magic to knock Steve out long enough so I could get dressed; pack my own bags and leave. I'm not sure where, just not in New York.
I was just about to open the door as someone had shoved it in my face, it wasn't an accident either. I think it was so deliberate, it broke my nose. I'd had numerous encounters with this man before, the Winter Soldier. After a few minutes of fighting, Steve woke up and took my place. Winter pulled put a gun from a thigh holster and shot Steve in the shoulder, deeming him unconscious. Using a second bullet, he shot me, right above where my heart should be.
(Steve's P.O.V)
I could hear Bailey crying and shouting from the living room, I ran to the room grabbing my shield on the way and searched it for any threats. There was only Bailey, legs crossed, crying her heart out on the floor holding a photo. "Why did you have to motherfucking die on me Bucky!?" She cried. "You should have known that was a stupid ass idea!" She kept on rambling and crying, until I got the whole story. "Cerrie?! You're alive?" I blurted. I was on the verge of tears and my lip was quivering uncontrollably. I didn't want to look so vulnerable, but my cru- I mean one of my best friends was alive all these years.
Something, I never sensed, knocks me out. When I woke up, Cerrie had a suitcase next to the door and was fighting the winter soldier. Using my shield that I brought through, I started fighting. Using this as a distraction, she grabbed the suitcase and jumped through her open bedroom window. The winter soldier left a few minutes after she did and left me with a messy living room. Getting started the next day, I noticed that most of the mess was the photos Cerrie had out. They must be from our time when we were younger.

After cleaning, I drove to the tower to tell Fury what had happened. "She's gone sir."
"Who's gone, Captain Rogers?" Fury questioned.
"Bail- I mean Cerrie! She was going to leave but the winter soldier came, she used the fight we were in as an escape."
"Why did she leave?" He asked, calm as ever.
"Because I found that she wasn't really Bailey Barnes, but none other then one of my long lost friends Cerrie Coulthard. " I panted, out if breath.
"Do you know where she went?""Not a clue sir."
"Then we've got to get Agents Coulson, Barton, Romanoff and Coulthard on the case. You too. You five people know the young woman the best." He explained, standing up from his seat. "What did she take?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"What did she take with her dammit!" He shouted, slamming his hands down on the desk.
"Her green jumper; the ribbon; her old copy of Alice in wonderland; Jester's uniform; seven outfits; toiletries; her mask; glasses; phone and headphones." I listed.
"Try to call her phone. She hasn't got your number." So I dialed in her number.
"This is Bailey Grant Barnes, what can I do for you?" She answered.
"Cerrie-leigh Elizabeth Coulthard, you come back here right now!" Fury yelled, snatching the phone out of my hand. "Sorry Nick. No can do, I'm already on."
"On where?" He started to trace the call.
"My plane to London." And with that, she ended the call.
"Head to London with everyone but Stark. I'll take him to get a little closer to her plane."(Cerrie's P.O.V.)
I was on the plane for about an hour when there was a little thump on the roof. Everyone jumped, apart from me because I knew what, or rather who, it was. Stark. "Attention passengers. If there is a person named Bailey Barnes on this aircraft, please may she stand up and make herself to the door." He buzzed, connecting himself to the intercom. I stood up, carrying my suitcase with me, I ran my plan over on my head. 'Make him think that I'm going with him, and then jump out somewhere in the sea. Luckily my suitcase is waterproof.' I added. "Good girl." The suit buzzed.
"Really?" I asked, smirking. "I am afraid I have been stalling to get closer to desired location."
"What are you doing?" I bent my legs, "No. Nononononononono!!!" And jumped off into the English channel.(Fury's P.O.V.)
Everyone else was on the quinnjet watching the show from a screen connected with Stark's suit. I was watching from the helicopter on the opposite side of the airplane. I saw the door slide open and a body fell out of it. "Goddammit Stark!" I yelled. Surely she couldn't survive that. But we need to search for her. "Go in Stark."
"What!?" He asked through the comm.
"I'll go!" Steve shouted through.
"Even she couldn't have survived that! So neither will you!" I commanded. The search went for hours. When we couldn't find any trace of her body, or a body in general, we gave up and put her on the top of the wanted persons' list.
(3rd person P.O.V.)
Four men by the names of Alexander Hamilton, John Laurens, Hercules Mulligan and Marquis de Lafayette were walking across the beach whilst they were visiting their friend Lafayette here in France. John was daydreaming about finding a girl when he saw a form floating on a piece of driftwood just on the coast. Without a warning to his friends, he kicked off his boots and coat and jumped in the sea. He ignored their protests, his only thought was saving that person, if they were still breathing...
