It's been a while since Caroline has seen or talked to Lois.  She wants to avoid her as much as possible.  Though it's going to be hard considering she's Malcolm's teacher.  Lois will appear more often whether she likes it or not.

1 month later...

Francis has escaped military school to see his girlfriend and as soon as she catches wind of this,  Lois sets out to find Francis in blind rage.  Hal tried to calm Lois down to no avail as she storms out of the house.  Hal follows suit by going through the back to find Francis as he doesn't want his son to feel Lois' wrath.

As Lois is off to her car to go after Francis,  she suddenly sees Caroline who so happens to be in the neighborhood.

Caroline:  (Nervously)  Lois!  What a pleasant surprise to see you here!

Lois:  Not really.  I live here.  The surprise is you stopping by on a school night.  Is there something with Malcolm?

Caroline:  Yes!  Uh,  Malcolm has been very worried lately and I'm wondering if it has  anything to do with home.

Lois:  Well then yes.  His brother Francis lost his mind over his ditzy girlfriend and thought it was a good idea to ditch school.  I'm off to find him and set him straight!

Caroline:  How do you plan on doing that?

Lois:  Easy, come with me and you'll find out.  Come on,  get in the car.

Caroline:  Oh now?  I uh don't -

Lois:  Trust me,  you'll thank me.

Lois yanks Caroline in the car and storm off looking for Francis.  Caroline lets out a distraught face as Lois speeds.  It's almost as she's excited but doesn't want Lois to notice.  Lois abruptly stops the car as she thinks she's spotted Francis.  While doing so, she happened to have placed her hand on Caroline's chest briefly feeling her breast as she's hitting the breaks.

Caroline is both shocked and turned on but hides it as Lois looks in her direction to notice that Francis is not there.  Then it appears that she and Lois are stuck as the car breaks down.  Lois yells at the car to move and an even more shocked Caroline couldn't keep her mouth closed as the car successfully starts working again.

Meanwhile, Hal spots Francis hitching for a ride and pulls up to his son to take him back to school.

Elsewhere,  Lois gives up her search and drops Caroline off home.  Caroline heads to her home without looking back before Lois says,

Lois:  Sorry for the joy ride.

Caroline:   It's ok.  I'm always here to help Malcolm.

They share smiles before Lois drives off and Caroline goes inside her home.
