Hal and the boys leave for school when really Hal is sneaking them to a stock car race.  Lois is left with the house to herself and decides to look for a lost check she's been meaning to cash.  Going through the house she's struggling to find the check.  Instead,  she finds incriminating items belonging to the boys and Hal.  A myriad of things include dirty magazines,  knives,  failed report cards,  cigarette butts, etc.  Lois is going on a spree until she hears someone shouting outside.

Caroline:  Hello?!!!

Caroline:  Hello?!!!

Lois:  Read the sign!!!

Caroline:  No soliciting?

Lois:  Everything including Jesus?

Caroline:  This is Caroline.  Malcolm's teacher!

Lois:  (Surprised) Yeah,  come in!

Caroline:  Spring cleaning?

Lois:  You have no idea.  What can I do for you?  Anything about Malcolm.

Caroline:  Yes,  lately he's been out of class and he's really behind.

Lois: (Excitedly) Hold on!  (Grabs a pen and starts writing)  Ditching!

Caroline:  That's what we call it!  I take it that Malcolm's been out of class and it might have come from home.  This might be a cry for help.

Lois:  (Laughing for 10 seconds)  Cry for help?  Here's a lesson about boys,  there's no cry for help

Lois:  (Laughing for 10 seconds)  Cry for help?  Here's a lesson about boys,  there's no cry for help.  They do as they please and think you have to take it because people like you are out there making these "cry for help" excuses and think you solved something.  You're all wrong.

As Lois turns around to look for more stuff,  Caroline looks at Lois' butt as she bends over.  Then Lois stands up and says,

Lois:  Do me a favor and lift (pointing to the couch).

Caroline:  Gross!

Lois:  That's nothing.  You wait here while I grab a hazmat.

The two women are sitting on the couch after finding all of the evidence on Hall and the boys.  Things appear mellow as they gossip and have wine.
