"Got talk to him kid, i'll be inside in a second" Hank blurred out. He was shivering from the cold. "Ay Ay Captain!" said Connor excitingly. He opens the balcony doors and feels the warmth of the house and the warm, reassuring look on Markus' face. "Hi i'm Connor, I'm the android sent b-" Connor was interrupted by Markus' warm and rubbery hands that were now wrapped around his waist. His LED once again, turned BRIGHT PINK. "This can't be JUST a problem, i- i must have developed a new feeling. I need to report this to CyberLife." Connor thought to himself. "Brother." One word came out of Markus' mouth but that word triggered Connor's LED to turn back to green. "MARKUS! YOU'RE- YOU'RE OK!" Connor said shockingly. "Let's go sit down by the fireplace. we NEED to talk." Markus nodded in agreement and then they both starting walking up the living room. Connor looks behind him and sees Hank's blank expression. He had seen it ALL.
Connor sits Markus down by the fireplace, and he sits opposite him, facing the window. They both sat there in silence for what seemed like forever. "So Markus.. what brings you here?" Connor decided to talk first. Markus took a deep breath, even though it was useless. "There were.. problems.. in Jericho. I- i didn't know what to do, i was the leader of Jericho." said Markus.
"You WERE a leader?"
"Well, me and north WERE."
"North? Who's North?"
Connor knew Markus way before he joined Jericho, way before he was serving his first house. He was surprised when he saw him jumping out of buildings with a parachute that day in the news, and even more surprised when he saw him in the news, again, with his humanized mask off. Androids can identify other Androids with or without masks. That day was Connor's worst day. He had to lie to Hank, and not reveal the Android's name.
"North.. she was.. the best. From the best friend ever to.. i think u know what i'm talking about. She has a peculiar past. VERY peculiar."
"Yes, i can recall North. Me and Hank were looking for another Android in the EDEN club and it ended up fleeing off with another North Android."
"Anyways, when things became violent North was encouraging violence, but i just wanted peace. Long story short, me and North had a little thing going on, and it ended soon after the whole violence vs peace thing. She forced me to leave. She told me I HAD to leave. I never understood what she meant. I had to leave.. why on Earth would you tell ME to leave?!"
Markus' tone became more and more violent.
"SHE FORCED ME TO LEAVE MY FAMILY AND WALK BY MYSELF FOR ENDLESS AMOUNTS OF MILES TO FIND YOU!"
Connor's LED was bright red now. He sat Markus down.
"Me? Why me?" Connor said to himself.
"I just wanna be good again, Connor."
