8:10am, Friday

Four days have already passed, since we moved here. And although I don't like the whole structure of our new home, I might have slowly but surely warmed up to this place.

Mom and dad hired someone to renovate the house, and somehow, it looked like before but much more decent. The cent was the most of success, since they finally got rid of the unpleasant odor.

I was still curious about alot of things, and sadly none of them had been answered yet. I was meaning to ask my mom about it, but they've all been so busy with things that I couldn't get the chance. But maybe now's the Time to do it, since I was having tea with my mom and sister. Dad wasn't home at the moment since he was at his new job.

"Hey, mom?" I asked. She raised her eyes towards me, placing down the teacup she was drinking from a moment ago. "What is it, dear?" She asked softly, putting her attention towards me. I looked down for a while, trying to form the questions I've been meaning to ask.

"Can I ask you something, or more like, a few things?"

She blinked at my request, before breaking into a light chuckle. She nodded and motioned for me to continue. "Ask away" she said.

"Well, I was just wondering why we moved all of a sudden. Like, we were doing just great back in Seoul. And moving all the way here kinda surprised me a bit" I explained looking down while fidgeting with my hands.

"I was thinking the same thing" my sister, seongyeon, muttered before taking a sip from her drink.

"Oh that, I knew you'd ask me sooner or later. And actually, as easy as it sounds, it's hard to explain" she took a sip from her tea, pursing her lips she sighed before continuing. "Remember that time where me and your dad left to Busan all of a sudden, one time? Around two years ago was it?" She asked us. The two of us thought for awhile, trying to remember. And although we weren't quite sure with why she asked, we slowly nodded with confusion.

"One of our business partners were from Busan, which is here. They had a son, a fine young man, smart, kind, handsome, and very talented. But sadly, he died and no one knew how or why. That year was the toughest for them, and that's why we came to busan, to attend the funeral" she stopped to catch her breath before glancing at us and continuing to talk.

"Not long after the funeral, they immediately packed their bags and moved to the states. They couldn't stand living in the house where their previous child died, so they left. The mother, who was our business partner's wife contacted us a year after, which was last year. Saying that they'd like us to have the house, a token of appreciation for what we've done or something like that. Of course we declined the offer, but turns out it wasn't just an offer. They were asking us a favor. She asked if we could look after the house until they find someone else who'd be interested to live there. And during those times, we were just about to launch another contract with our business partner from Busan, so we eventually accepted her offer, and another year later here we are now" she explained thoroughly not missing even a single detail, and after that she raised her left hand up indicating where we are.

"Wow, I um,  didn't see that coming" seongyeon said surprised by the back story of why we moved here. Neither did I, honestly.

"But why didn't you tell us, until now?" I questioned out of the blue.

"Because I couldn't get the right time to tell the two of you, so I made my decision to just explain myself when either of you talk first" she shrugged, collecting the things scattered on our tea table.
