Elizabeth's POV
"Alpha, we need to talk." I said, barging into his office. You would think I'd have trouble finding the office seeing how I had never been there, but using his scent, I followed his trail and it led here. Crazy right?
"Ahhh. Elizabeth, it's nice to see you again. What can I do for you?" He grinned, gesturing for me to take a seat.
"I want to know what happened to my parents, the betas of this pack." I said, looking straight at him, not bothering to beat around the bush.
He spluttered and looked at me, flabbergasted.
"The betas? How do you know they are your parents?" He asked while taking a seat on the other side of his large desk.
"Bell told me." I said, shrugging my shoulders. He looked at me confused.
"Bell?"
"My wolf." He began to sputter again.
"Your wolf? B-but how? You are not one of us! At least, that is what you said when you first trespassed! YOU LIED TO ME? YOU DARE LIE TO AN ALPHA?!" I stared at him, his face reddening and eyes darkened, but for some reason, I wasn't frightened. In fact, I found it somewhat amusing.
~This bumbling idiot is wasting our time. I want to know about our parents and I want to know NOW. Let me take over.~
Okay but don't be mean. He's still the Alpha.
~No promises dear.~
I gave up control and hoped for the best. After all, he was the Alpha and my mate, possibly ex-mate's, father and I didn't want him to think badly of me.
"No. I did not lie. At the time, I was not a Lycan nor did I have knowledge of having Lycan blood in my veins. I understand that this is upsetting, however, if I were you, I would choose my words carefully Narend. You never know when your words will come back to bite you." My wolf smirked at him and the Alpha snarled.
"Watch it, rogue! I can still kill you for trespassing."
My wolf growled back and stood up putting her face in his.
"I dare you to try." We locked eyes and my eyes flashed different colors. Don't ask me how I know, I just do.
The Alpha gasped and gaped at me.
"It's you." He whispered, still gaping at me.
My snarl turned into confusion and I looked at him. Bell gave me back control knowing I could deal with this.
"What's me?" He looked at me in awe and smiled.
"Halo Eliza Leone, the daughter of Novellus Ly Leone and Alitah Natura Leone, formally known as Alitah Natura Knight. The betas of our pack, the Invictus Pack." He said, whispering in awe.
"Okay...pretty sure I had already told you that my parents were the Betas. Can you tell me where they are?" He stared at me for a few moments, not saying a word until he finally gave me the information I had been asking for.
"In the forest, to the west of the pack house, behind the iron gates. You can't miss it." He gave me a sympathetic look and a sad smile but I disregarded it. I was finally going to meet my parents!
I ran through the forest as fast as possible in my human form, following the Alpha's directions. I arrived at the iron gates and I drew in a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves.
I pushed the gates open, the iron creaking and groaning in protest. What I saw had me on my knees, heart beating faster, my lungs tightening, seemingly refusing to give me oxygen. Tears began spilling down my cheeks and my wolf was howling in sorrow.
Novellus Ly Leone and Alitah Natura Leone Knight.
Here lies the most courageous and honorable wolves known to the Invictus Pack.
They gave their lives so that others wouldn't have to.
May they rest in peace where ever their spirits may be.
