Prologue

I woke up just in time to see somebody is calling my phone. I looked at my phone's clock. 10:28AM pa lang. I answered the phone.

"Goodmorning birthday girl! Ang aga-aga bakit ka napatawag, Yza?" I said.

"Goodmorning! Eh kasi naman inaalala ko lang baka mamaya maligaw ka papunta sa hotel. It's my debut, Khaye. Baka ngayon ka pa mawala?"

"Yza, mag-tataxi ako. Wag ka mag-alala. Besides, it's just in front of E mall, right?"

"Okay. See you later."

"Okay. Enjoy your dayyyy!"

That's Yza. Ang best friend kong echusera. Biro lang. Maganda sya at matalino tulad ko. Actually, nahawa lang sya sakin. Ayaw magpatalo?

Ever since High School, magkaibigan na kami. Magkasama kumain. Sabay mag-aral. Parehas ng taste sa fashion. And lastly, we share crushes. Pero minsan, nag-aangkinan din.

18th birthday nya today, February 5. I already bought a gift for her, of course. It's a necklace that we saw when we went shopping last month.

I prepared the dress and shoes that I'm going to wear. Then kumain na rin ako ng lunch kasi matakaw ako, pero sexy pa rin.

2:49PM

Naligo na ko kasi kaunti lang ang naka-online na friends ko. Lahat kasi invited sa debut ni Yza. Ang yaman ng loka. Nagbihis na ko and nagpaalam kay Mama.

Syempre special tong day na to dahil birthday ng best friend ko. Pero other than that, it feels normal, just like any other day. Or so I thought it was...
