Sierra woke up feeling even more excited than the morning of the day before. It was her 17th birthday! From this day on she would have the ability to find her mate. She really hoped she would. She put on a cute plain blue sweater over skinny jeans and sneakers. (http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s658/awesomesauce211/c600x628_zpsaaafcabd.jpg) She straightened her hair and put on some light make up. Because she was the alpha's daughter, she would be getting birthday wishes from lots of people.
She headed downstairs and kissed her parents on the cheeks before sitting down at the table next to her father. He smiled at her and said, "Happy birthday honey. This one is the big one!"
She laughed and said, "You say that every year Daddy."
Her father smiled and said, "Yeah, but this year its true. You are finally eligible to find your mate. Are you ready for that?" He looked a bit concerned to the end.
She nodded and dug into the pancakes her mother had put in front of her. Her mother smiled at her and said, "Well, happy birthday love. Have fun at school!"
Yeah, right. Sierra was not a fan of school. Especially on her birthday. It's hard to be a wallflower when you are the alpha's daughter and it's your birthday! She started walking to school when a car pulled up next to her and started slowing down. She had never seen it before nor did she want to see who was inside it. She frowned and sped up her pace.
"Hey pretty lady, need a ride?" a man's voice said from in the car. She had never heard it before and being the alpha's daughter in a small town she knew everyone. She shook her had no and sped up to where she was almost jogging.
"I promise it'll be worthwhile. All I'm gonna do is give you a ride." the man told her. Finally, she turned and looked at him. He had shaggy black hair, looked about 30, had a 5 o'clock shadow, and was smoking a cigarette. She rolled her eyes and broke into a sprint. She got a ways and ran into some bushes and hid.
His car came by and she heard him curse and speed away. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest. Had she just escaped being kidnapped? She shrugged and walked to school. As she walked in a bunch of people said happy birthday. She would say thank you or sometimes just smile at them. She got to her locker And there stood Stella with a big ol' smile on her face. Sierra's locker was covered with decorations and balloons.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD!" Stella exclaimed. Sierra burst out laughing when a Teacher walking by gave her a harsh look. Stella shrugged it off and hugged Sierra.
Sierra said, "Thank you Stella! You are still coming over tonight, right?"
Stella nodded ecstatically and went across the hall to her own locker to gather her books. Sierra was getting her books out when a strange feeling went through her. It felt like when she was five and she wanted a lollipop so bad she would do anything to get it. She shrugged it off an gathered her books.
"Happy birthday sexy" someone said in her ear. He turned to see who it was but the bell rang so the crowd swooped him away. Well, she hoped it was a him. Otherwise some girl had a deep voice and a confused love life.
She wondered to class and the teacher wished her a happy birthday as did some of the students. She smiled and said thanks. She took her seat and felt that overwhelming feeling of need again. Then one word and one word only crossed her mind. Mate.
She whipped her head up and looked around. There was about 12 guys in her class. One of them happened to be Trey. He caught her looking at him and gave her a small smile with a wave. She smiled back then turned her attention back to her notes. She new her cheeks were probably extremely red because she was embarrassed from being caught staring.
