Sierra knew that once everyone at school found out, there would be so much drama. Guys wanted to be her mate because she was the alpha's daughter, and girls wanted to be Ben's mate because.. He was Ben. Sierra was angered at the mere thought of Ben with another girl.
Sierra got to school and walked to her locker. She felt his presence and smelled his scent before he could make a sound. She felt pleasure spread through her body as he wrapped his arms around her waist. She smiled and turned around to hug him. He hugged her close and leaned down and gave her a short but sweet kiss.
She grabbed her books out of her locker and shut it. Ben took the books from her.
"I'm walking you to class," he stated. Sierra giggled as she detected the possessiveness in his voice. She decided that could be fun. She pretended to check out a guy as she walked past him. She heard a low growl emitting from the back of Ben's throat.
Sierra giggled and wrapped her arm around his waist. She stood on her toes and kissed his cheek. "My eyes love you and only you. No need to get jealous." She told him.
He smirked and kiss her cheek. They walked past Stacy and Claire noticed Stacy's boring brown eyes glaring at her. She searched Stacy's eyes and found jealousy and spite. Sierra realized she was now on Stacy's bad list.
Ben noticed and ignored Stacy. This was something that surprised Sierra. It made her trust him more though. She leaned into Ben and snuggled up to him. His body heat warmed her inside and out. She loved being close to him.
They finally got to class and sat down. Mrs. Kawoski smirked when she saw them together. She knew how much Sierra used to despise Ben. She began class and she couldn't help but glance at Ben every five minutes.
When class was over, she was slightly sad because she knew they didn't have the next one together. She sat all through class, longing to be with Ben. Luckily, she was a good student and was able to to notes and learn.
When class was over, she put her books in her locker and headed to the cafeteria. She was happy to see Stella, Trey, and Ben at her table. Ben had his lunch and hers and was looking around, hopefully for her. She smirked and went behind him. She put my hands on his eyes and said, "Guess who?" He laughed. They both knew he knew it was her once she got within 10 feet of him.
He quickly turned and pulled her onto his lap. She saw Stella and Trey watching them with amusement in their eyes. She blushed. Ben laughed and pulled her close to him. She was just enjoying her lunch, chatting with Stella, when all of a sudden someone's diet coke was all over her head. She gasped and froze, her hands stiff.
She slowly turned and saw Stacy with a fake look of shock on her face. She glared holes through Stacy and heard Ben suppressing a growl. She stood up and said, "What was that for?"
She pouted and said, "I didn't mean to do that. Although, you should stay away from Ben. I know that when I turn 17, he is going to be my mate, so save yourself the heartbreak."
She must have been REALLY stupid not to have realized Ben was Sierra's mate. Besides, its not like Stacy and Ben ever had a thing. There was no reason for Stacy to think they would be mates. Sierra smirked and said, "He is mine. So back off."
Sierra's alpha genes started to kick in. Stacy looked at Ben and said, "She doesn't know, does she. Well, honey, Ben and I hook up every other Monday. We even hooked up the night of your birthday. I know you aren't mates because he would know by then and wouldn't hook up with someone else knowing his mate was out there. In fact, he ALMOST marked me. I plan on having him mark me tonight. On Monday he agreed to have a special date tonight. So, he is mine."
Sierra couldn't believe it. She turned to Ben and he looked like someone had stabbed him. He began denying it all but Sierra couldn't hear anything clearly. She stumbled out of the cafeteria and ran to the girls room. She ran to a toilet and threw up. The door swung open and Stella said, "Sierra? Are you in here?"
Sierra flushed the throw up and came out, crying. Stella hugged her and held her there. Sierra was feeling sick because of her mate. When a mate feels rejected they get really sick. That's why she was so dizzy and confused before. She cried on Stella's shoulder.
"Sierra, he wasn't going to meet her tonight. You and I both know that. After you left, Ben started yelling at Stacy until she was crying and then he came running after you. He obviously wasn't planning on marking her. I can tell he really likes you. Please give him a chance." Stella pleaded with Sierra.
Sierra was so sad it was almost unbearable. She could barely stand. The rejecting was making her weak really fast. "I- I nee- need to go ho-home." Sierra stuttered out through her tears. Stella helped walk Sierra to her car. Stella dropped her off at Sierra's house and made sure she was all set before leaving.
Sierra laid down on the pull out couch with a bowl of soup. She watched movies. One of her favorites was 50 first dates. The lengths that Adam Sandler's character went to be with Lucy were amazing. The fact that he loved a woman who barely knew him everyday was amazing. Another one was was mean girls. It made Sierra laugh no matter what.
A knock on the door startled Sierra. Luckily, she hadn't been holding her hot soup. She paused her movie and got up, wrapping her blanket around her. She opened the door and there stood Ben. She frowned and said, "Shouldn't you be getting ready for your date with Stacy? Make sure you smell nice because she plans on being marked and you won't be getting any if you smell like the dog that you apparently are."
Ben Pov.
That felt like a slap across Ben's face. He tried to think of how to reply to that. He had to admit, she had good comebacks.
"I was going to cancel once we agreed to be together. I was going to text her but I kept forgetting because all I thought about was you." He told her.
Her eyes narrowed and she said, "All I thought about was that I wanted soup. Looks like we are both getting what we wanted, huh?"
His wolf was telling him to get on his knees and beg for forgiveness. Wanting atleast a fraction of dignity left, he cleared his throat and said, "I love you, and only you. The mere thought of being with another woman disgusts me."
She looked him in the eyes and said, "Obviously not enough to have stopped you Monday night. I know that you knew. Screw you."
And with that she slammed the door in his face.
He had to fix it.
