Once the jet took off into the dark sky, I watched out the window thinking how much my life has changed and all I have done. Honestly, I'm looking forward to a little down time.

I was left at the academy to be trained as guardian since I was 4. Meet the love of my life. Killed my first two strigoi. Lost a friend. Almost lost myself to the darkness. Gave myself to my love. The school got attacked. Killed more strigoi. Went to Russia. Killed more strigoi. Met my loves family. Unknowingly met my dad. Killed more strigoi. Hunted my turned love. Got held and fed off by him. Escaped. Thought I killed him. Heard a fairytale to restore strigoi.

Returned to school. Found out who my dad is. Found out that I'm Royal.
Found out I didn't kill my love. Spent the last few months of school planning to use my ex best friend and break out her enemy from prison to see if the fairytale is true. All while learning a few truths about myself and my past and future. Graduated. Broke Viktor out. Got the information from his brother. Lissa restored my love. He pushed me away.

Then I just find out that Queen Tatiana secretly named Abe to be her successor. For the longest time I thought she was grooming Lissa. But all the paperwork is signed so technically he is King now, but he wants her to hold the throne a few more months and for her to make the announcement. Still don't know how I feel about that. Zimy is scary enough and has enough power. But there are a few Royal moroi that think they are better then everyone else and want to make the suggestions that was brought up at the ski Lodge last Christmas into laws, idiots. And with so many people afraid of Abe, he will have less people trying anything stupid, like trying to kill him, they know or heard what he's capable of. No one is dumb enough to go against him. Plus he already has his own personal army of Guardians. So yeah, I guess now I'm a princess, fuck, I'm a fucking princess, ugh! Yeah, I definitely need a break.

Catching movement from the corner of my eye, I look to see what it is, only to see baba has sat down next to me.

"How are you doing, little girl?"

"I'm good old man. Or should I say King Old Man."

"Try answering that again Princess little girl, but let's go for the truth this time huh?" He smiled.

I groaned, "Baba, Princess little girl don't even sound right. Don't ever say that again. But fine, I'm nerves about seeing the Belikova's okay."

"And why are you nerves?"

"I didn't leave on very good terms with some of them when I was there last. I didn't even say goodbye. I just left in the middle of the night."

"Is that the only reason?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Oh just wondering, if you were nerves about telling them he's been restored or something else."

I squinted my eyes at him, "you know don't you old man? How long?"

"Of course I know, I make it my business to know. And long enough." He smiled.

I sighed, shaking my head.

"It will get better Rose, I promise. Once we get to Russia we will be staying at my house in Baba for the two weeks we are there. We will land and arrive at the house in the human morning, if you want you can visit with the Belikova's at Lunchtime, get it done and out of the way."

"Yeah, sure, nothing like ripping off the band-aid huh old man."

He laughed.

"When you gonna tell Mom your king?"

It was his turn to sigh."I don't know little girl, hell she still don't know I'm Royal."

I laughed. "That's something else we have in common, baba, knowing something she doesn't."

"But I don't know you could just rip off the band-aid already old man." I smirked.

Baba opened his mouth to answer but his phone rang. "Saved by the bell, I think", then answered his phone with a stern "Muzar".

"Hello, Guardian Croft. I'm guessing if you're calling me this has to do with Belikov."

"And his freaking out about my daughter leaving and wants to know where she went, correct?."

"You may proceed if he is there for the right reasons, you know what they are."

"And Croft remind him we would like to keep Rose being Royal hidden from those who don't need to know, Princess Dragomir and Lady Ozera in particular." With that he hung up.

"Well it seems he got your note and is already at Hans office asking where you went."

"Is that so. I wasn't expecting that so soon. I thought for sure it would be longer. Maybe me leave hit him harder then we thought it would."

"Kiz, we knew it would hit him hard. But with his love for you so buried, no none of us was expecting this soon."

"Or maybe something happened to help it along. I'll have to reach out to Mia tonight, after I get back from the Belikova's to see if they got anything after I left."

"That's a good idea. Why don't you sleep the rest of the way then you can freshen up and go see the lovely Belikova's."

That sound good to me so I curled up with a blanket that one of the Guardians handed to me at Baba's sleep suggestion and fell asleep.

When I work up I was in a beautiful room, it was red and gray with some black here and there. Looking to see what the time was I decided to take a quick shower and go see Olena.

After my shower and getting ready. I went in search for Baba. It didn't take long to find him, I could smell the food, MMM, food. So following my nose to the dinning room, I found him sitting at the table.

"Are you going to the Belikova's now?"

"Yeah, that's what I was coming to let you know."

"Alright, take a few Guardians with you."

"Baba, really!"

"Yes, Rose, they don't have to come into the house with you but you will have at least two Guardians with you at all times. But in all honesty you should have more."

"Fine, where's Eddie, he, Sergey can go with me. And if I have to have my own Guardians. I want people I know and know I can trust."

"I'll get Pavel to have them both meet you by the door. We will talk later about your Guardian detail."

Shrugging I walked away. Collected the rest of the things I was taking with me like my stake, don't care I'm a princess now, I still know how to defend myself, and headed for the door.

Eddie and Sergey both there waiting for me so we went right to the SUV. Once I can in the middle, Eddie in the passenger and Sergey driving. I told Sergey where to go.

When we pulled up at the house it still looked the same as when I was here a few months ago. Taking a deep breath. "Wait in the car. I don't know how long I will be." I got out of the car and walked up to the door.

Taking another deep breath. I raise my fist to knock. But the door opened before I connected.
